Sure try it out yourself

ask ur mom

Headshots from hwat exactly?

From a pistol yeah. From a battle rifle, probably not.

I remember seeing an old WWII training video and they showed how at 100 yards the .45 just puts a dent in a metal helmet like it got wacked with a hammer.

Maybe, but it would knock you out if you got hit directly

Sorry you can only get that through air drops now

Protects lower abdomen from stabs only.

It protects from cumshots

Yes and no. Helments are really designed to protect from shrapnel and other debris from explosions. But, helemts can protect from glancing shots or in even rare cases, cause rounds to ricochet off. But a direct hit from most rifle caliber rounds will punch a hole straight through it

Buy two, shoot one and find out.

It reduces damage from everything but an AWM in .300 Magnum.

There is only couple of helmets that can protect you from rifle calibers and those weight enough to break your neck if you are unlucky.

was waiting for someone to post this

While we're here, are the helmets sold by Grey Shop any good?

Why would he need a replacement if he doesn't know it's good idiot

Anything but an AWM

How did you misspell helmet twice

things that get hit with rifles rounds generally don't work as well the second time

Chya a fayet

Will only stop small pistol rounds like .380, 9mm,9x18. .45 would maybe be the highest I'd trust it to stop. I think out to 300-500m you can have some luck with 7.62 and 5.45,but not a sure thing by any means. I know some slav out there did some testing if you google around. I remember reading it and seeing the pictures of what rounds penned and what didnt and at what ranges.

It's still cool as fuck and I love mine.

a 7.62 fired out of an ak usually reaches the velocity of a 9mm at about 400 meters so if you find yourself in that sort of engagement you're 'fine'.

also I like how it was misspelled two different ways

This will protect against Assault rifle rounds (762x39, 556) and to a smaller extend, battle rifle rounds at oblique angles and mid to far range. Apply the formula the higher the range, the less oblique the impact may be.

What will happen from personal experience as well as accounts from the recent wars in the middle east, is that the bullet that hits the helmet at oblique angles either glances off if the angle is very shallow or penetrates the helmet and then travels along the inside around the helmet before exiting the backside of the helmet. In the process, it will likely tear up the wearers head as well, and concuss him, but is less likely to penetrate the skull.

>tfw I didn't get a genuine one when they were still in the $200's

\what size/distance/angle are you talking about?

Mine only cost $377.
