What are the best ways/products for mounting a flashlight to a 1911 without an integral rail?

Attached: 1441255180591.jpg (1176x882, 483K)

>been months since I've tried a PPX at the range and was really impressed
>still not sure if I find it ugly as hell or kinda cool

I am of the opinion that it is pretty gud looking gun! Just look at it!! The only gun that is as unique in looks to the PPX, is in fact, The Highpoint..

Real talk though, A PPX with a threaded barrel looks pretty cool

Attached: walther ppx.jpg (1536x1024, 327K)

There is a grip solution that is bolt on
There are also welded options

Anything you'd recommend that can be clipped to the trigger guard or grip? I'd like a 1911 without a rail but still be able to use a light if possible, preferably without altering the base gun.

I had to delet Ever since I've been away from Jow Forums, im kind of scared to say edgy things..

Silly rabbit, the gun is for no good scoundrels who might try to steal my shit and put me in a self defense situation ......... aka (((niggers))) ;)

I am forever in love with your collection!

ideally yes but skrilla.

Attached: ppsmith.jpg (5184x3456, 2.92M)

I have never bothered with them, I'm just aware they exist. I think the grip one I mentioned would be what you want and has a decent reputation.

This is what I'm referring to but I'm not sure it's the original recovertactical.com/collections/1911/products/cc3p-1911-grips-and-rail-system?variant=41712295687

Anyone want to talk about Hawaiian shirts..? Or you could post 80's newwave. Either will make me a happy tripfag

Is the cylinder blued? Really prefer the looks of the 442.
Also, what do you all think is a better choice for a warm weather pistola, the lcp II or a 5 shot snub? Thanks

Get the p5 and maybe a cz999 down the road

>deutcher stahl and Hawaiian shirts
God tier combo

Excellent song!

Best new wave coming thru

I love my P99

pics bro

I built my first Glock while wearing a Hawaiian shirt and watching season 3 of Miami Vice, does that count?

As someone who works outside and gets absolutely filthy I would say the 5 shot snub is a better choice. I own both, but carry the LCP most when I am working and I have to constantly break the gun down and re-lube it, because I got rained on, or dirt, or sawdust, or concrete, or fish slime some how made it in to my pocket. Revolvers are just less maintenance and will 99.9 percent of the time function flawlessly. I'm getting a Ruger LCR .357 for edc pocket carry really soon

Attached: DSC_1836-5.jpg (6000x4000, 3M)

That makes sense. The guns going to spend 80% of its time in the glove box anyway since I don’t carry at work and I like big gats during the weekend. Just wish smith would put a fucking red ramp on their poorboy j frames. Thanks fren

Such good music!!
Please forgive next song, but 1979 is close enough to 80's
>youtube.com/watch?v=ZF4Z6smOrZw

I honestly believe that it is impossible to hate the P99

Sounds exactly like the conversations I want to be having.

Reposting from the qtddtot thread.

How do these 1911s rank in terms of overall quality and value for the price?

>RIA Tactical
>Ruger Night Watchman
>Remington Enhanced
>Springfield Loaded
>Para Expert
>Para Elite
>Colt Competition

Budget's 800 for what it's worth. I think the Colt might be just over that, but it's close enough.

what are the differences between the PPX and the Creed?

damn do all hks slide go that far back?:

get a surplus P1.
it's not that different from a P5

>skrilla
you watch Thooorin videos, don't you?

My P30L goes pretty far. Probably the same length. They're all mostly the same side assembly design

Wild Turkey 101, but I drank a few beers before I got home.
Dusty bottles always intrigue me! I had a bottle of eagle rare 10 year old single barrel from 1982 that I found on the shelf of a liquor store in the middle of nowhere. Also found a full jim beam decanter from the 70's at a antique store for $25 bucks.

Fuck, I want a luger
You might have beat me
> youtube.com/watch?v=KSGWsmR4ipM

To be completely honest, I have no idea. Burt might know, but I know I would choose the PPX over the Creed simply because of the name.

There is quite a difference between a p1 and a p5.

Attached: VP9.jpg (4731x3224, 1.09M)

>LCP II
>LCR .357
why not split the difference and get a LCR in .327 Federal Magnum?

Attached: iu[1].jpg (661x496, 82K)

>P220
why would you even when P227 exist

I dont know what that is but I've saying that since high school which was like 15 years ago.

lol you win just by playing the game. Not sure the date on this but I know its older than I am. Story behind was my great uncle bought it new when he was in college so early 60's.

Have one of those as well. I like the 220, it just fits my hand better.

Southern Ohio Gun. I don't think they still have them but if they do, they'll be without grips. Most of the MVs sold last year had shattered grips because croats didn't into plastic until the 1990s.

I think it's pretty dang ugly and apparently so did Walther as they essentially deuglied rebranded it the Creed. But it is comfy, and the trigger is exceptional for a gun at that price.

I'm fairly certain that there are zero mechanical changes, only cosmetic. The only thing I know to be wary of is the loose barrel ramp, which appears to still be a rare issue in the Creed as well. If it wiggles, Walther will replace it free (or at least have done in the past).

If you wait a little longer, they're being rebranded AGAIN (I think that's four times now, each due to scandal) and should be available in basic bitch versions. I think they're known as Stryk A and Stryk B now. Or maybe that was one scandal ago, it's kind of hard to keep up with.

We both win! You have a good taste in music! I'm going to bed now.. Cheers bud

The real question is, what would Tom Selleck carry?

Does your h9 shoot low ?

Still CC that thing on the daily. Im gonna miss it when I send it off for upgrades

You cc'd a full size 1911 with a bull barrel?

I needed to aim a little high with 115s, but with 147s it shoots point of aim.

To this day

I'm thinking of getting a Beretta elite LTT but I'm also thinking of getting something with a slide mounted optic instead like the Q5 or G34 G5. Hmm.

Only for winter right?
But in what position?

S&W has made some questionable calls in the past, but rebooting the m&p to the 2.0 was a good one. Why don't more handguns have super agressive grip textures? Never being able to lose your grip seems like a huge plus on a handgun.

Funny this came up today of all days, let me butt into your conversation and say mine does (they pretty much all do).

That's why I'm about to fix it THIS MINUTE.

HD comes out
HD XR goes in

Attached: IMG_2192.jpg (1400x933, 238K)

Well concealed carry with super aggressive textures can be uncomfortable. The percent of the time you actually shoot your edc versus carry it is very low but I do like the S&W 2.0 texture. I notice a difference just switching from Glock Gen 3 textures to Gen 4 textures when carrying as far as comfort.

Trijicon HD for M&P height is 0.215"
Trijicon HD XR for M&P Shield height is 0.185"
They share the same dovetail. This should do the trick.

Better picture with my winter knife. My summer one is considerably more... Reasonable.

Using some highly advanced and expensive specialty tools unavailable to humans I got the old sight out and new one in. The top serrations made it less difficult to autistically center the front sight.

Attached: IMG_2198.jpg (1067x1600, 553K)

Jeep & Chrysler it's hard to line up iron sights behind camera.

Trust me when I say the HD XR dot is cradled in the rear U notch just like the HD was, just thinner.

I'll try to go shooting this weekend and see what difference it made.

The punch method is the way I like as well

About to burn $70 tomorrow and buy a Jennings J-22 with a bunch of mags am I retarded?

Yup. I used mine as a hammer to reassemble a mark 3. Worst 80 dollar hammer ever.

Sounds good to me.

Any reason for not going with the LCRx?

That’s awesome burto, i use it for winter carry so with my 147 HST it’s fine, but as a range gat this seems awesome

But its at 3 o clock in a galco sto& go

bump

That knife looks prone to rust

I want to change my CZ75 SP01 sights from 3 dot tritium to fibre optic. Can anyone give me some quick pro's/con's on:
>tritium/fibre optic sights
>3 vs 1 dot fibre optic sights
>sight blade/notch widths.
It will be for IPSC production shooting, so thinking along the lines of "practical/tactical" rather than outright range only use/ racegun
