Aaand I added one too many ">" and an unnecessary "#". I rarely ever do this, so cut me some slack.

So am I, user. Most of my funs are going to have to stay behind at my dad's place for now, though, including all my milsurp. I can take the handguns (LCR, Bersa, half-finished Polymer80 Glock 19, half-finished AR pistol) and the AR-7, and that's it. As for everything else, who knows when I may be back? They may sit in the safe for years, in gun socks, surrounded by desiccant packets.
Such is life.
Had to temporarily relocate the collection to deal with a leaking pipe
feels bad man
Why are you moving?
Uffda, that sucks. Hope your guns got out of there before they got any damage.
So I discovered my cheapo Winchester 1894 saddle ring carbine was issued to the Royal Navy in 1915 for use on mine sweepers and “Q” ships. What a pleasant goddamn surprise!
Gunshow tomorrow. Got 850 bucks to spend. trips decides
Austrian para boots or bundeswehr ks2000 boots?
$850 will buy a lot of jerky.
Mas 36.
Argentine Mauser
moving is a pain. but it means more funs
Bayonets for the surp that you already have.
bubba'd mosin for $300 above market
Lol btfo
the digits have spoken
Nice, well priced WW1 correct Berthier carbine if anyone is looking.
Trips of truth.
Tell me about the early Frog ammo. Is it unobtanium blackpowder stuff?
I find it amusing this stuff is still cheaper than 6.5/7.7 arisaka ammo.
why is there no fucking 7.5x54 in the whole of the fucking united states! fuck me surp was mistake.
first time ive not seen any available
I just bought a mas 49/56. next time ill check ammo seek before buying anything.
Any nice underrated surp pistols? I'm thinking about getting a P38/1 or maybe a Hi-power. If not I may set my sights on a Chinese mauser (Type 24 rifle or a C96 clone).
I just made 200 rounds the other night. Maybe that's your problem.
Repostan my newest gat.
Fuck
already done that
I did pass on an IBM M1 Carbine that a guy wanted $850 for. so I fucked up
whos
the manufacturer on the 98?
Had a water heater give out, and the gun room is next to it, so before I could call in a plumber had to move everything to the other side of the basement and cover them up
dodged a bullet there t.b.h. Water heater leaks might be covered by insurance but surps getting damaged could be quite the pain in the dick to price and replace. Id be worried about the whole basement being super humid at this point as well
Who was that user who had like 20 chargers they were looking to get rid of?
Just picked this up for $375.
But does it have any value?
Some slav wrote his name and some other shit on the liner
Figured it would be a cool pairing for the rest of my serb/yugo shit
>implying sporter fags are welcome here
you have a dehumidifier right?
Me! I got a guy from armslist that wants them, but if he flakes, I can let you know. There's 26 in all, and I'm asking like 7 bucks a piece, when the eBay norm is like 12 bucks or more.
Uhh, that's an actual Zfk 55 marksman rifle.
coded 147 so J.P. Sauer und Sohn Gewehrfabrik
Theres an old outdoor shop down my town that sells loads of camping stuff jackets and all that, (live in rural area alot of tourists go to the shop for camping gear and the likes), there's always a load of old milsurp looking jackets out the front but ive never went deep into the shop (narrow, claustrophobic, but goes on forever) might pop down there soon and see what I can find deep down, god knows what this guy has. What rare jackets and camos should I look out for? (Live in west ireland)
Swiss sniper zfk55
>I am an uncultured retard the post
Ive run across a 1941 g24. Any idea what something like thats worth?
I too am still interested. Sorry for using the gurrilla mail before.
It would make Walter happy.
You ever write the guy? I want to write the guy who had y rifle, but I'm not sure how they do it. Nor do i write in mountain dwarf.
>before I could call in a plumber had to move everything to the other side of the basement and cover them up
I forgot to do that last year when my condensation pan in my furnace cracked and it was leaking all over the place. It didn't make it into the gun room, but the access panel to the furnace is so the repair guy had to get in there. Needless to say, he was quite surprised.
Nope. Just picked up my rifle today. Wonder if the guy is still alive.
Anybody have a throwaway email then?
I'll post one in a few hours. I'm on mobile
hello gentlemen, so i traded some meh reloading eqipment to this guy the other day and he told me "yea ive got this old russian rifle", well its not, im horrible i know but ive got a few pictures, could you guys tell me more than i already know? like why this polish rifle has tula marks?
im going to drop a few images
.
Haven’t bought a milsurp fun in a while. What’re the up and comers lately? Been eyeing an M48 on armlist the past couple days
Its a Polish made M44. The small parts probably came from Izhevsk at some point. Thats not Tula btw. Tula used a star.
I don't know enough about Pole mosins to say if they traded parts with the Russians or if this was somehow refurbed by them or its a post import enhancement.
Pole Mosins are far less common than Russian. This m44 can easily pull in $400-500. Adjust price up or down depending on how much of the rifle is matching.
M48s are pretty fun. They will cost you around $300 - $400 though.
thoughts? its missing the handguard but czech rifle hand gaurds may be the last cheap surp thing
They fetch a premium on the Mosin market. Mechanically mine is the smoothest Mosin I have ever shot, they were definitely made with a lot more love than Russian ones.
That one is definitely worse for wear on finish, I have a 1952 BD batch that is deep blue and shiny. It isn't uncommon to find them with Russian parts.
Does the stock have a OW in a diamond marked on the side?
Any waffenampts? If so, it's probably worth a but more than a K98k, just because they're rarer. In 1943, that factory started K98k production, instead of the VZ24 clones they had been building.
>Any waffenampts?
yeah, its a mixmaster though
Hard to find a matching German anything. With how Nazi milsurp is, even mixed serials still give a decent sum. I'd guess it's worth 6 to 800
Those are Romanian parts. I have a Romanian M44 with a few Russian and Polish parts.
fuck.. im gonna buy it I think, I dont even want to but I have a sickness. I hadnt even heard if until I saw it
Walther P1
Nice! I just got mine this week
I won pic related on Gunbroker this morning.
R8 my new acquisitions.
Pro tip, don't let alcohol touch the stock, unless you want to refinish it.
Don't ask me how I learned that.
Pls ignore the fact that the previous picture is rotated idiotically.
USA/10, nice guns. 'Grats.
Oh it’s shellac, isn’t it... yeah that probably wouldn’t end well.
I mean, I hated the orange color, so I wasn't overly sad when I realized what job I had just created for myself.
Thanks, the krag has a 1903 date and the carbine is a 1943 production standard product with a 43 inland barrel.
Win some, lose some, lol.
Part 1 of 2
Rate me nerds
Gorgeous wood on that second no4
Part 2 of 2 this part is like 3000% less impressive because I don't really count police trades/parts kit guns as milsurp. Yes I have a wolf blanket, yes it was 5 dollars, fuck you.
Thanks man, it looks great in photos.
I'll post pics when I'm done. It actually looks really nice now, whereas I felt really meh about it before. Now I really enjoy it again.
That's a nice looking M44.
Man, you did fuck up. I saw an IBM for $750 but it was nickel plated, I was still gonna buy it but it poofed before I made the move.
I got my Inland for not much more though, so I'm fine with it.
That didn't take long. Around 10 seconds of careful filing down and now the safety works on my newest surp. For $150, I'm starting to like this Turk M38.
There´s an Arisaka on sale I´m kinda interested in. I was wondering about the crest, looks kinda modified or something.
At the end of WW2 Japanese troops defaced a lot of their "mums" on their rifles... Most were ground off... Looks like the soldier just peened that one with a punch.
fuck you Ian, now I too am obsessed with French guns
A mum overmarked with "0"'s means it was taken out of service so no longer the Emperor's property. Pre war cancellation rather than deface.
I figured it was something like that.
Any Suggestion how much I should spend on the thing?
5/10. Decent volume, poor variety.
Welcome to the club.
Is it matching? What arsenal/series?
Kind of need more info. Jap tends to be all over the board from $1k I know what I got, to $30 because it looked like it was recovered from the bottom of a lake were it was for the past 50 years.
egun.de
Maybe this helps, sorry for the Krauttalk.
Seems to be matching.
Not bad. I need to update my rifle family photo now.
>turk'd
May as well burn it, it's worthless after the roaches get ahold of it
near worthless*
Would this be a worthwhile purchase if I were to unfuck the wood? Bubba seems to have stripped it or something.
you cant unfuck that wood. Looks like he sanded it half away you can tell by looking at the barrel bands
Well RIP then. Such a shame that a bunch of nice rifles get utterly fucked for unknown reasons. It really makes me wonder why someone would sand the stock like that.
