Waste of the crows. They are smart enough to be taught how to plant the incendiaries.

Teach them to pull the grenade pins from enemy weapons stockpiles

the British Army already weaponises crows by giving them these

You could probably actually do this.

They could probably do it, and probably open any containers holding grenades or any other HE

Hope he can fly out of there in time though.

Have you not seen Jurassic Park? This line of thinking can only end poorly.

steal a single grenade, place it in enemy command bunker doorway and pull the pin, repeat when other enemies come investigate

Aren't grenades kind of heavy for corvids? Seems they would struggle to move them short of rolling them along the floor.

Some of the bigger crows look like they could carry a 400g grenade at least a short distance

I don't think it's unrealistic. I once saw a swallow carrying a coconut.

Ravens are fucking huge, dude.

African or European?

This. They not only learn faces but tops of heads too. They also pass this info on to the next genetation and others. Look son. Thats an asshole! Get the boys!
Also fund raising.
They can be trained to recognize objects and can be taught to trade on for another. "Crow vending machine" was a cool project. Computer controlled box spits out peanuts for coins. A handfull of nuts for a ring or bracelet.

Dont forget warflying. Electronic warfare is a thing its a proven technique with drones, balloons and cats. Send out a fleet of birds de-authing and snooping an area.

Teach them to drop grenades on dummies in enemy uniforms, give them treats each time they do so. Then, release them into the wild and watch as they teach their fellow corvids to do the same thing in exchange for treats. They've already been taught to retrieve coins in exchange for treats in large cities, this wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Somebody never played armored core. The answer is mechas.
