Well, I'm from Wyoming, but I spend a lot of time in Upshur County. All of the decent ranges in nearby Upshur are private or expensive, so I haven't taken my gats out yet in Texas.

Does anyone know of any decent 300m+ ranges in NE Texas?

I honestly had no idea. I've just always had a good time in San Antonio.

You could go to American Shooting Centers on Westheimer Parkway. Its pretty good outdoor range. Just gets really crowded at times. I may be biased though as they let me shoot their for free.

San Antonio is pretty decent, to be honest. Good food, though the traffic sucks dick, and there are very few good indoor ranges to be found.

I've yet to find one of these worth a damn. The few that allow holster work often require you to take their b.s. intro class, and I've yet to find ansingle one let you work rapid fire to work on split times.

Mission Ridge is alright, but expensive as hell. Personally, I go to the Bullet Hole when I shoot, but the pistol line is terrible on the weekends.

Mission allows rapid fire, but like said it's ~$30 alone and ~$20 with friends once split
Butthole is pretty bad unless you go an hour before closing and all the obnoxious RSOs are gone (specifically the fat one who carrys a 1911 with green flame grips)
Place to shoot is where I usually take friends but it's in the southside and no rapid fire.
Those are the 3 I've been to, any other ranges y'all recommend?

I usually go to bullethole in the morning, so it's not that bad, and I've never had any of the RSO's give me shit before about rapid fire. A Place to Shoot is alright too, but I've only been there once before.

San Antonio is okay, I've lived there on and off. Make sure you live on the North or Northwest Side and avoid the east/south side like the plague. There are very huge differences in the demographics depending on what part of town you are in. San Antonio is a nice place to live if you know your way around. Plenty of hunting, fishing, trails, hiking, and the hill country is near by. If you want to see any shows or go to any events, you are only an hour away from Austin.
