Try a front sight gas block that isn't threaded. Least expensive one I found in a minute or two of googling was:
centerfiresystems.com
Then cut your barrel to the appropriate length, get it threaded, and get a muzzle device of your choice pinned and welded to bring it up to the legal length. Easy peasy, right?

Better grip than the stock wood imho and won't get soggy in the rain like the wood ones I've used before. It also has MLOK slots if you want to toss on a flashlight/whatever is you want to. My guns are all used for camping/backpacking primarily so the ability to put a light on is important.

Please do not mix between these, it looks so terrible, keep classic classic, and modern modern.

How did you change the stock? What do you mean your bolt is a bit rough, like the carrier doesn't travel smoothly? Did you beating a too-big stock tang into the receiver, or something like that? Did you have the receiver clamped in a vise or something while you were hulking out on the rifle? If so, you may have tweaked the receiver--post pics so I can laugh at you.
