I think practice is your main issue. USMC Bootcamp teaches people to use irons out to 500 yards.

Don’t lie. None of you shoot your rifles anywhere else but at a range on a bench at 200 or less. Red dots and holos are great for home defense but those heavy ass LPVOs are absolute meme tier unless you’re literally SOF in the mountains of Afghanistan. For a basic target shooting pleb 3-9 fudd scope is perfect for zeroing your rifle and scanning the tree line if you’re one of those SHTF larpers.

200m is a lot closer than you would think. LVPO optics are usually used on DMRs going much further.
Ammo quality and corresponding barrel rifling are more important.
Shooter practice is more important than buying cool gear.
If user wants to go out and buy a new optics, by all means, but practice is likely the issue.

user, I'm getting the feeling that you're a bit out of your league on this and the dunning-kruger effect is in play.
If you want to start precision shooting, you start with the correct barrel, then correct weight and powdered ammo (usually hand loads), then a really nice optics.
People don't precision shoot with low end Nikon glass and cheap factory/surplus ammo.
