hard to shovel out sheckles for anythong that wins military contracts supply and demand is all fucked up

I hope so. I was torn between the ta31 and the ta11. But i just cant get away from that eye candy huge fov of the ta31

I wanted a green horseshoe, but it was 1170 or so... plus tax.. i jumped on this the moment i saw the price beginning with 8 and the fober being green. I am a little iffy on the OD color, but it will look somewhat unique in a sea of black acogs. I like the chevron too, but i figured green is best withe the horse.

I like the ACOG, but Trijicon has been resting on its laurels.

If Browe gave it more competition it might force Trijicon to innovate more.

I like mine but sometimes wish I had more eye relief.

I’m considering going with another ACOG model that trades some magnification for better eye relief, anyone have recommendations?

My literal only complaint, but I've pretty much gotten used to just nearly collapsing my STR stock. I've wrestled with getting a 3x TA33, but the 4x mag is pretty much perfect for my desires and holy shit is the '33 ugly.

This is a boring TA31F with a dual-illuminated RMR with the awful eyepiece clamp mount. Would not recommend. Live and learn.

Trijicon RX-09. An uncommon common variant of the RX-06 which is triple-illuminated. There is a "cyalume port" on the rear which accept mini glowsticks for extra illumination". No idea how many of these were produced, but I have only ever seen one for sale anywhere (and I got it, obviously). On a ARMS mount.

I have a TA31TRD with the crosshair reticle on my Windham AR15-A1-mishmash-rifle and I love it.

It has the bible verse on it, but the tritium insert is still good, even afters so many years.
I bought it for

>ta31 with a RMR on a carry handle
>we're reaching levels of chinwield that shouldn't be possible
I have a setup like this minus the rmr, have considered getting one for maximum giggles.

Yeah, the chinweld is what has to be done. Far from ideal, but it does technically work... my beef with it is the big clamp around the eyepiece. It severely impairs the peripheral vision around the image from the scope viewed at the correct eye relief. As I said - live and learn.

Best Acog for Steyr AUG with low long rail? Also the AUG is FDE

Attached: F0B5150A-5F06-4A8B-826E-836F564EE9D6.jpg (2048x1536, 1005K)

It is really a matter of opinion. Any ACOG from 1.5x to 6x has it's own advantages and disadvantages. Obviously the most popular for a carbine are the TA11 and TA31.

My AUG (or MSAR) has the TA11MGO-M249
(see 38357475), which is really just a dressed up extreme niche-ly purposed TA11F-G.

What's wrong with green?

Nothing. Unless you have particular color deficiencies, it is the usually the best choice (not that there is anything wrong with red or amber). The human eye is (objectively) the most sensitive to the color green, and you will be able to detect it better in low light.

I picked up the one with primary arms ACSS reticle back when they were doing the $150 rebate. Went a head of putting a rmr on top because they were cheap through the cabellas deal. Just wish the tritium was brighter.

Should I buy the 1.5x ACOG for my CMR-30? I use the gun mainly for squirrel hunting and having some magnification would be nice.

Attached: UT6GOt6.jpg (4032x2268, 1.73M)

That’s too expensive, 1800 gets you a VCOG and is highly underrated

enjoy your washout

In my experience it washes out more easily than red and isn't as detectable in brighter light conditions. Don't get me wrong, it's a sight better than amber. That shit blends in with just about everything that isn't bright green foliage.

Have you tried not caring what poor slavboo autists think?

TBF the BDC of an ACOG reticle will be skewed for 5.45 and especially 7.62x39

they do have .300 blk reticles I think

Probably right, I'm not sure how precise those ballistics are with 7.62x39.

Look at all these goys. Israel approves.

Are the 1-8 accupoint optics any good?

Just bought mine on Saturday at a local gun show. Was about to buy an EOTech HHS III, but then I looked at this and was blown away with the quality. Got mine for $975 red chevron.
I still think the HHS is a more practical choice though.

Are the rails on these integral to the receiver or can they be removed and swapped for different rails?

Is your carpet made of ramen?

I take it you have never walked on ramen before.
Youre really missing out man

>its a josh threadHI JOSHU-KUN!!! HOWS MSAR??? DID YOU SEE I WROTE ARTICLE ON MSAR IT'S JUST LIKE YOU'RES YOU ARE SO COOL HI JOSH IM SORRY I CALLED YOU A FAG IN THE FIRST THREAD YOU EVER MADE PLEASE FORGIVE ME

Yes, I did in fact see, read, and then even proceeded to comprehend your article!

MSAR is.... still there. Has only been shot once since I upgraded the TA11F-G to a TA11MGO-M249. Oh, I also spent the $30 on the Neu-Trigger, which I am pleased to say is a quality product with no detriment. Wood recommend.

OH GOSHES YOU NOTICED ME AHHHHHHH
oh yeah. I uhhh i have a ta01 thats certainly NOT .gov property. Yay acogs!! What auction you use btw?

That's actually cool as fuck. Do you know which launcher(s) it works on?

I don't think I've ever seen that stock before. What is it?

advantage of green is that your eye recognizes motion more quickly (think tennis ball) but that's not beneficial in an optic really since it should be stationary in your field of view.

Red doesn't ruin night vision.

Goes on SMAWs

Really cool, dude. I didn't even see those available on the website. Did the auction guys know what they were selling when they sold it to you?

Bought bought a trijicon SRS and it died and had to be sent back to the factory 3 times. To trijicon's credit, they sent me an acog after I complained and told them to keep the SRS.

I use an aimpoint m4 now since trijicon's dot's are kinda ass, but for the short time I had the acog (sold it to fund the m4), it was pretty good. Clear glass and a good reticle, but I didn't like the eye relief and didn't need the magnification.

FA needs to get on that 6X game

I thought green was safe at night

Why is your left big toe nail twice the size of your right?

It's two different people with their legs crossed for the image, a new "twist" on classic Jow Forums footposting.

i have one, overpriced, but good glass, your call mate

thats what comes with the Troy pump action AR

patrician handgun choice my dude

It is actually the NLAW. You can see it in this pic. It uses the now defunct "special ring" geometry on the base to attach to an arm that swings out. The top of the ACOG has some little fin bolted on on, and the fasteners go through the bosses on the ACOG, and into swinging arm (for reasons unknown). The pic [attached] shows the bottom-ish of the sight, so you won't see the light pipe. Crazy to think these guys are "disposable", even if they are conservatively $500 a pop at the contracted price.

I got mine new without the arm or the fin, I guess those aren't made by Trijicon. It comes in a tiny cardboard box with foam inserts. Plain white label on the outside, no manual, no cover, no lens pen, no nuffin'. Very OEM. Wow.

They are not listed in their catalog, but you can see a sentence or two mentioning them in their "history" section.

The pump guns come with one of two stocks, and this folding stock comes with the nicer of the two flavors, and only available in the short-action guns. It is exceptionally well-crafted. It can be swapped to fold either left or right. it locks on a proprietary front take-down pin!

Trying to decide whether to get a ta33 or ta11.

I really like the ta11, but everyone says it's too heavy. Is this true or is it just more soibois complaining?

A TA11 is 14oz w/o the mount, and a TA31 is 10oz w/o the mount. The 4oz is almost negligible, but some may have other opinions.

Both ACOGs are great, and can be used interchangeably. Here's the take-aways:

The TA31 (4x32) ACOG has the widest field of view of any ACOG. This wide field of view has a direct relationship to the length of the optic, and the eye relief. The TA31 has an 8mm exit pupil, which is fairly standard and reasonably easy and comfortable to use.

The TA11 (3.5x35) ACOG trades the compact body and wide field of view for a longer eye relief and bigger exit pupil. I like to sum it up as this ACOG is "easier and more forgiving to use". Your head doesn't have to be in as narrow a position as the TA31 model to see a perfect image. This may be particularly useful if you are looking through the optic while walking, or if you are changing shooting positions often (such as going from standing, to prone, to sitting, using a barricade, etc.). The longer eye relief also allows it to be used on some other non-AR guns that may not bring the top rail quite as far back to your head.

Hopefully that helps. Glad to share more details if needed.

It's going on a DD v11, which is mostly a range queen gun and home defense rifle.

I wear glasses and the ta31 would occasionally bite when I tried it.

I like the ta11 because it's a goid middle ground between the ta33 and ta31. I'm just worried it's too much weight for such a light ar.

Well it sounds like a TA11 of some flavor is the choice for you. I don't think you will mind the 4 extra ounces. Heck... you could even get an older model TA11 without the eyepiece bosses for an RMR to save half an ounce (I'm mostly kidding about this move).

Thank you for the input.

I jheld the ta11 at cabelas and didn't think it was bad at all. All the ecelebs think it's like having a brick in your rifle

I really like my TA33, the eye relief is huge. Though the lower fov and magnification do leave something to be desired on occasion. With a LaRue qd mount, the weight is stupidly low. Something like 9oz in total.

jealous desu nice set up

Joshu-kun my acog is cloudy and i cant warranty it because lol gov property. Can i fix somehow?? Also what auction do you use for finding neato shit? Please to respond
