I always wonder if Macross-style micromissiles might actually make sense soon. If guidance systems get good enough that you can get like a 50% probability of a direct hit for each missile, then it might make sense to have shitloads of little missiles with 40mm grenade-sized warheads for close-range missile fighting instead of the current 10 foot long multimillion dollar monstrosities.

The F-15 can carry 30,485kg of fuel internally (disregarding the CFT's, which add 750 US gallons).
The Su-35 can carry 11,500kg of fuel internally.

Why not just use fucking lazer weapons? You can't shoot down light. You can't dodge light. It's going to hit 100% of the time.
And if they develope some kind of heat resistant shielding (which, is only partially what lazers can do. lol fry the pilot with radiation), you would use kinetic weapons instead of stupid ass missiles. Railguns user, RAILGUNS.
Or some kind of like... kinetic projectile being shoved inside a missile that just get's close enough to it's target before setting off a warhead which then propels a depleted uranium dart to insane speeds.

the f22 is a stealth aircraft. The nozzles of that engine are designed specifically to dissipate heat as quickly as possible so it can't be tracked by thermals.

They're generally considered the best, and they set up the Strangereal universe that all the good games follow.
After that, you can try the older PS1 games (I recommend AC3 since that's trippy as fuck, and has some slick scifi planes), and then if you have an Xbawx, Ace Combat 6.
