My job is climbing up old themepark rides and inspecting all the slats on the tracks to make sure they are still safe. I need a satphone while I’m up there, because all the railings and my harness causes electrical interfetterence on regular cell phones. If I find a safety issue, I need to call my boss right away. Pretty tough job but I enjoy it.

Believe it or not, it works out to ~$35/mo. as my account with BlueCosmo is presently set up. Iridium is considerably more expensive. Like, twice as expensive.
