the current supreme court is sitting on all sorts of lower court appeals. They haven't heard them... or refused to hear them.
Everything from the machinegun lawsuit (ATF paper pusher approved a new post '86 machine gun tax stamp then they tried to call backsies and the resulting lawsuit could literally leave the NFA and BATF authority torn up like the toilet paper it is. to suppressor laws to the few may issue CCW holdouts, mag cap bans, etc. has one if not a dozen suits sitting at the circuit court level or below.
And if there is a proper court the NRA, second amendment foundation, and other groups could easily open the war chests and drop the cash on ironclad constitutional lawsuits that previously would have led to a 5-4 ruling, never being heard, or potentially hurting gun rights.
Current antigun laws could be ruled unequivocally unconstitutional for at least another 50 years by a bunch of 6-3 decisive supreme court rulings.
It is truly the best goddamn timeline. Especially when ginsburg finally drops. Trump being able to appoint 1/3 of the supreme court must be making leftists heads fucking explode.

Good post, I think your assessment is correct. Dems are too fractured, and they don't even have a platform after two fucking years of "resistance." The only way Dems could possibly win is dropping the illegal immigrants issue and focusing on rebuilding the middle class. They need to make the Medicare and Social Security programs issues again. Those programs are going to be cut by our Congress (BOOO!!! bad republicans!!!) because it's the only way to keep them afloat. Dems have absolutely no fiscal sense, and they're flirting with economic collapse for the sake of virtue signaling.
