I found this channel on youtube, it appears to be a Japanese tactical gear and training company, with a whole bunch of videos, is this some sort of specialist training camp for tactical specialists or Japanese gunotaku having a go at being soldiers and SF?

They have one live fire video, but in a few of their training videos the guns they use are ejecting training shells, whilst also practicing fairly practical drills. I looked up the Ichiro Nagata person, and he's had considerable experience with firearms and is Japan's foremost firearm photographer.

Also the rappelling girl is pretty cute.

Embarrassing.

You can't own guns Japfriends. So move or just stop.

Whew, pretty scary being around that old man with the carbine. He borderline muzzle sweeps the camera crew.

yes you can, a jpop lady did a vlog of going through the process of getting a license

Not that user but
>Japan. The weapons law of Japan begins by stating "No one shall possess a firearm or firearms or a sword or swords", and very few exceptions are allowed. Citizens are permitted to possess firearms for hunting and sport shooting, but only after submitting to a lengthy licensing procedure.

Japan still has a big amount of hunters and sports shooters, there's a Japanese hunting channel where the owner goes big into Japanese Gun Culture, and applications for licenses have almost tripled in recent years.

> .6% out of 100 people own firearms in japan
>In Japan, the number of handguns in civilian possession is reported to be 77
>shotguns 2015: 144,986
>Rifles 2015: 30,325
Not exactly what I would call a 'big amount'.

shut up weeb. Japan has 0.5 guns per 100 people and some of the worst gun laws of the developed world

the laws are terrible that's a face, but more young people want to shoot than ever before, what's wrong with that?

I guess that is good. Japan needs a pro-gun movement

Nothing. What is wrong is that they live in a country where they cannot freely or as readily do it as in other countries.

If you want to shoot guns take a trip somewhere. Japan is not known for their firearms and everyones seen ichiro before. It's chris costa levels of fanfare.

>and applications for licenses have almost tripled in recent years.

You can thank anime for that.

That's interesting. Looks like they train pretty hard. They really go over a lot of knife stuff like that? It's probably a bigger threat around there. Seems like martial schools are way more common too. That sort of thing is just starting to really pop up here as a really popular thing most people are just thugs that learned from getting knocked around in the streets.

nice find user.

Non-ironically interested in how the Japanese approach firearms training. Their penchant to make everything minimalist and effective would be interesting applied to firearms.

how often does the average user go on an international vacation?

You can't have pistols in Japan if you aren't military, or LEO.
Shotguns, and later on after owning a shotgun for a while you can upgrade to a rifle. I'm not nipponese, but I watched a few videos on the subject.

He lives in Guam, which is a US territory you newfag.
