>Several injured, 1 death
>The AR-7 was recovered, because it floated

True story

God, I wish the AR-7 came in literally any larger round.

>Literally too pure for this world

Get to it, mang, what happened?

>commercial crabbing vessel
>California during the 80's
>before the liberals had completely ruined the state
>AR-7 was one of several boat guns
>proudly made in Costa Mesa, CA
>by Eugene Stoner
>right along side the original AR-15s
>you heard that right
>California wasn't completely fucked at one point in time
>AR-7 used for "taking pictures" of "pirates"
>marginal weather
>boat loaded down with pots (particularly dangerous)
>coming back into the harbor
>boat was hit broadside by a rogue wave
>capsized the vessel
>my grandpa was in the engine room
>engine room flooded
>was a tragic day

Never get complacent with safety and industrial equipment. In some ways it was almost for the best though, this place only went down hill from there. I'm sure he'd be appalled at what this state has become.

>ruger pc9
>ar 7
>not the Marlin Camp Carbine of our time.

>magwell is multiple times larger than the magazine
I know ruger isn't making this shit in their garage, what the fuck is going on here? Is this a real thing or a prototype?

Modularity, it's obvious they're going to offer it in several calibers and magazine types in the future.

Marlin should re-introduce the Camp Carbine that takes Glawk mags 9-40-10

They'd only fuck it up at this point

I'm so sorry your family experienced that tragedy. You were so close to ridding yourself of that shitty meme gun.

Still runs, original Armalite is quality. Charter Arms gave the AR-7 its poor reputation.

Honestly I don't think so. PCCs are a niche market and the Ruger take on it is actually quite good (price/modularity). Reintroducing the Camp Carbine as-is would fail because it really wasn't that good. I had one for a while and wanted to like it but from the horrible trigger, to the fragile action (poor recoil buffer allowed stock or even receiver to crack) and obnoxious magazine disconnect it was just not good at all. If Marlin did re-design it to be better, it would at best just do what the new Ruger PCC already does.
