The Russian Gorshkov Class Frigate's acceptance into the Navy has been delayed again to November. Unlike the Karakurt and Bykov Class corvettes, the Gorshkov has been delayed time and again which shows Russian incompetence. Why can't they just buy Chinese?

They did. And Chinese engines are #1 reason of delays in RuNAVY.

*buys su-35 for a price 20 millions higher than f35*

>Chinese engines
Wut? Russians use chinese engines?

Since they can't get their hands on German, yeah, they do use Chinese copies of same German engines. And now they are trying to build their own, because those are shit.

Russian RnD was non existent form around 1989-2009

Is it because they run on gutter oil imported from the sewers of China's poorest ghettos?

When the soviet union split, factories making ship engines ended up in Ukraine.
This was not a terrible problem until putin decided to yank the strings too hard on his puppet government in Kiev resulting in the popular uprising and Crimean occupation.
Despite what vatniks say, the sanctions stomped the russian economy back to 1998 levels and building up heavy industry is hideously expensive. Especially so when your engineers flee to the west, your population are drunk retards and sanctions prevent any civilian market.

That's why russia buys cheap chink engines made from crude pig iron that are utter shit in every regard other that price.

Consider licenced production of 052D destroyers. Cheaper and better than anything Russia can do on its own.

Modern Russian ship look like shit.

Buyan-M is the only exception.

That doesnt fi the main problem of Russia military, money.

And 052D sub system is not ompatible with Russian navy

>its true because i just pulled that out of my ass
>muh chyna right /pool/???
>do i fit in fellow Dalit??

The chinese parts are usually finished and ready to deliver ahead of schedule you dumb nigger.

Its 100% corrupt Russian docks who prefer get money out of every delayed day due to low amount of contracts

It's cheaper than the frigattes the Russians are trying to build.

because they're worse

no, it's because they don't run in general

Because it is built by chinese not Russian.

>yank the strings too hard on his puppet government in Kiev resulting in the popular uprising and Crimean occupation.
Not like there was any assistance (funding, online drives etc) from MI6 with Euromaidan or anything....

Putin was always going to win had he not done anything drastic. He played his cards wrong and lost a country.

His miscalculation is the real problem. He gained a naval base but lost the industry.

Are they still having problems with their combat system? Last I heard the missiles launched kept losing datalinks past 30km.

Calm down, Zhen

>Not like there was any assistance (funding, online drives etc) from MI6 with Euromaidan or anything...

Not really, no. The West came first when it was obvious that the people was fed up with rampant russian exploitation and mismanagement, all the heavy lifting was done by the people.

Unlike the situation in Crimea where russia had to send in spetznas and army units to pose as """rebel""" as they could not muster popular support for an uprising.

>He gained a naval base but lost the industry.
He gained nothing but a slip of paper saying that Crimea, which he de facto already owned, is his.

It boggles the mind how retarded the russians have been in the Ukrainian conflict, they gained nothing they didn't have before Euromaidan but lost a fuckton of industry, peons to exploit, tanked his economy, triggered a re-arming in Europe, cemented Ukraine as a staunch supporter of the West, gained hundred of miles of hostile border and the Crimean naval bases now rely on a single bridge for resupply rather than a safe land route.

And Vatniks call this victory.

>This was not a terrible problem
It was tho. Their quality was decreasing with every year passed, because they ignored capital reinvestments, spending money on buying new luxury cars and apartments for CEO instead.

>Their quality was decreasing with every year passed, because they ignored capital reinvestments, spending money on buying new luxury cars and apartments for CEO instead
A tale far too common in all post-soviet states, russia included.

Russia is at least trying to do something and fix their shit, instead of just plain stealing all contract money.

The Gorshkov Class was designed in the 1990's which makes it obsolete. Its missiles are not as good as Chinese equivalents, such as the Zircon-S hypersonic missile that's not as good as the Chinese equivalent of the LRASM super stealth missile. It's Poliment AESA radar is only rated for 400km for 15m2 and only 40 illumination targets, this pales in comparison to the Renhai's super AESA radars using GaN ultra transistors that can search and detect 1m2 targets from 780km away. And the Gorshkov is very ugly, it's looks is too simple and aesthetics that only drunk sailors could love. It's Palash CIWS doesn't even have missiles because the development of the SOSNA-R missiles that were to be used were dropped in favor of the HERMES-A missiles that are used in the Karakurt's Pantsir-M CIWS which are not as good as China's super CIWS with GaN AESA radars.

Russian tech is shit. They should just buy Chinese, internet experts also believe in this.

>chinese numbers
Go ahead.

Clearly Putin can do no wrong and all of this was a CIA plot to punish poor Russia.

The Economy will recover, Sevastopol remains Russian.

I can never tell if you are trolling or being serious when you post garbage like this.

Why? China's military too strong for you that you can't believe how powerful they are compared to America's?

Why do you think so and what you gonna do if you're mistaken

Everyone knew that the Sevastapol bases where going to remain russian no matter what the outcome. Russia gained nothing but triggered an arms buildup in Europe and now has a new hostile army on it's border, one that was russian aligned before putin chimped out.

When the inevitable war in Europe happens, pic related will be the outcome.

>Everyone
Lol, everyone knew Sevastopol will be leased to NATO once Ukraine shifts support to the West.

Yada yada yada, wasn't my point.

Im still stuck on the idea that he might be French, of all things

>super AESA radars using GaN ultra transistors that can search and detect 1m2 targets from 780km away.
It's press-releases war time!

Is that what kreml propaganda outlets such as RT or sputnik try to push these days?
The fact that the US had a naval base in Cuba during the cold war and to this day should tell you how likely it is that Ukraine would expunge russians even if they aligned with the west.
Besides, had the russians not been window-licking retards and allowed Ukraine to sign a deal with the EU, none of this would have happened.
Alas, russians are retarded and played straight into NATOs hands.

its almost like Ukraine did not want a Russian puppet government those bastards in M16 what done it because Stalin was so kind to them. Dear Papa Stalin and his mini me Papa Putin.

Is there any US/EU citizen, or it's purely putinbots vs cocholbots?

>super
>super
>super
So is this the new impressive meme Pajeets are forcing now?

>projecting asspain
Stay salty Pajeet.

>y-youre just a pajeet!
lamo@urlyfe, chang

Unironically need to start thinking about buying Chinese.

That's embarrassing

The Renhai can detect 0.001 m2 from 1200 km away.

1989 Tiananmen Square massacre in Beijing

But do you have a CG presentation to back this statement?

Yeah because we need a strategically indefensible naval base on the ducking black sea to replace the defensible one in varna that we barely use because well it's the fucking black sea. Do Russians lack the ability to think strategically?
