Brothers! Lets get a recent acquisitions thread going. Also, happy Friday! Recently picked up my first AR, a DDM4V7.
>Yes I live in a socialist police state that has gutted the 2nd Amendment. At least I can still buy something that's reminiscent of an AR. >I chose to not go featureless, which effectively renders this rifle useless. Thinking about picking up the MEAN loader to get around the whole locked magazine non-sense. >This is what happens when you live in a state where the electorate doesn't understand the concept of critical thought. >Pity me
I didn’t have a good scoped high power fudd deer rifle, I always used my dad’s Mossberg 30-06 since he doesn’t use it anymore. And since I’m a filthy left eye dominant man, I decided it was time to buy my own rifle. I don’t hunt all that often, but now at least I’ll have my own rifle, and I’ll have high powered rifle with a decently powered scope on it.
Discount on my rent for this month, so I decided to finish Baby's First AR build. Ballistic Advantage lower and (I think) a CMMG upper and buffer tube.
also I don't know what these screws are made out of but it must be fucking aluminum because jesus christ they're soft I'm going to need to get new ones, because I've already fucked up two. Luckily no damage to the finish at all.
How hard is it to convert for someone who’s decently mechanically inclined and with ok tools? I’ve been sitting on mine since 2003 and have been wanting to convert it since then, also where do you even get the parts?

Bought first mosin. M39
Receiver has minor surface pitting stock has some small gouges barrel is vkt and looks clean bore looks clean.
Haven't checked headspace.
400$ which is probably fucked I know, but they are getting tough to find and people seem to want double that for anything better.
pretty easy, as long as you have a drill and some other basic tools its no problem. the old mags wont work as the new bullet guide blocks the internal feed ramp on the saiga mags

Posted this in the /hg/ thread as well
My first Sig, p220 10mm sao. Just picked it up from my local FFL today. Feels magnificent in the hands.
differen't guy, but i'd like to add that you likely won't need to add a bullet guide to a 5.45 saiga, 7.62x39 saigas, on the other hand, i believe MUST have a bullet guide for proper AK magazines.

Finally got a mosin for my collection. Bought it with some of my tax refund.
Yesterday I went out searching for a P01, and came home with a P10C. I had no intention of ever buying one until I handled it and tried the trigger. I normally carry a 19, and ergonomically this thing leaves it in the dust. Before buying, I checked it over for any of the frame tolerance issues I heard about in the early models but didn't find any.
I fired 150 rounds through it yesterday with no issues. I'm going to put a few hundred more through it tomorrow.
