What an ugly bastardization of a beautiful firearm. The K98 was a much classier looking carbine. The thing is, the wood on the underside of the barrel shouldn’t ever be snubbed off like this. It makes it look like a pump action shape rather than a rifle. Not good!

Germany had to call it a carbine because the treaty didn't allow them to make rifles. It was mostly a workaround so they could make rifles, and just cut down the length by like an inch.

It's easily legible. The second two tables set out the maximum amount of equipment an infantry or cavalry division can be equipped with, and the maximum quantity of ammunition both as a function of rounds per weapon and maximum total. Cavalry divisions can carry 6,000 carbines, twelve HMGs, and twelve 7.7cm guns. There are three cavalry divisions allowed, so they can't have more than 18,000 carbines, with 400 rounds each. Though they can certainly have less.
