For the cheapest plinking ammo, maybe, but if your local stores sell HSTs for the same price you can buy them online, they're a lot better than mine.
Generally all you can find locally is overpriced 20-round boxes, and the 50-round boxes are substantially cheaper per round even after shipping. And then its even cheaper if you buy 500 or 1k rounds at a time.

sportsmans guide is a great place but you need the membership. while you do have to pay for the membership, you get 10% off or something and free shipping. youll make that $40 back on two orders. the other thing that makes them good is they have great, if not sometimes the best, deals on bulk ammo like 5.56 and 9mm.

Sgammo is usually not quite as cheap as others on basic bulk stuff, but they routinely stock LEO packaged HST. For you kfags not in the know , leo packed HST comes in a 50 round box buy is priced usually the same as the 20 round retail boxes. So like .45cpr instead of 1.10 CPR.
They also have a wide selection of subsonic bulk 9mm and interesting lots of surp and overruns.
They are good shit.

Shipping for 2 thousand rounds is cheaper per round as well. Sometimes I set up group buys if the shipping sweet spot is more than I'm looking for. You have to have friends for that to work though.
