It would probably get mad, slap my dumb ass in the face, and then curse at me before walking away. I bought a good condition Maverick 88 with a left hand side saddle shell holder. I had it for about a month and a half, bought ammo for it, bought snap caps to clear my house with, did so several times a week, took it to the range a couple times, and then gave it to the Marine I bought my P320 from because I was worried my parents would find out about it and be mad. I loved that gun, but was too afraid of getting in trouble let to keep it around like I should have. The Marine had wanted a home defense shotgun for a while so he was happy to take it, though. I think she got a good home. I wish I'd kept it. Man this hurt more to bring up than I thought.

Take them out to shoot and get worked on user. Even if it isn't cost effective, it's still wise to be competent in the operation and maintenance of all your small arms. 1903 stocks can be had for a decent price both surplus and new made, if you look around. You may consider a new stock that you can finish and oil yourself, too. It'd probably look great.
