Combat knives are among it. Let's face it, you're never gonna use it, they're too heavy to edc, might get you arrested in most countries and aren't good for much else.
Wanna be a woodsman? Get an axe. Need to clean fish/deer/rabbit? Get a small knife.
I love knives, but combat knives are unpractical for anything else than stabbing someone, which 99,9% of us fags will never do.

Stick tang knives make bad pry bars. For quite a few years the heat treat of the Ka Bar USMC was very hard. Harder than advertised in the examples I used. I haven't had my hands on one made newer than 05 so I don't know if they changed it.
You can sharpen a literal pry bar. You can sharpen a butter knife. You can sharpen anything. You are the failure in this situation. You may need different equipment if you have a crazy super steel. It may lose its edge quickly if it is a soft steel. But you can sharpen anything.

Yes, you need to tape the blade or its scratching and the screws need to be tight as a virgin.You can use a magnet under the plate and remove the top steel. Only the back plate and thats it. someone bought mine and sold his Lasnky for this cheap set :3
