Why didn't .38 super become more popular?

Fuck off, wetback

Didn't somebody make a 1911 chambered in this? You could LARP as a boomer fudd without actually being one.

Because in days of old if I'm carrying a 1911 it will be chambered in .45acp as Jesus M. Browning intended.

Yeah
It’s only popular with spics. That’s because of caliber restrictions on military calibers

It is in Mexico

semi rimmed cartridge, too long for a regular 9x19 or .40 based frame design, so you need to base of a large frame design, and at that point you might build a .45 or 10mm auto.

this become popular with competition shooters. pic related

The advent of 9mm Major killed .38 Super for competition use in Open and Limited, and the restriction to .400" projectiles or larger killed it in every other division.

.38 Super is less popular in IPSC, USPSA, IDPA, and Steel Challenge now than it was in the 90s when it was even more rare and expensive.

lol Why are white people so scared of Mexicans? Niggers are the real problem

>almost as violent
>twice as competent

lol This is why I love being both white and mexican. Still over 6' tall and got tan skin so white bitches loovvveeee that shit. Plus white liberals bend over to anything I say cause they don't want to be "racist"

You mean Mexican? You aren't white and Mexican, you're Mexican.

You're not white. You're a Mexican that has more European Genes than some of your other Mexican brothers

Colt did about the time the .357 came about. It was meant to compete with .357 for law enforcement purposes. It's an ancient round with a rocky history. It belongs in a 1911 just as much as .45acp does. It's literally one of the oldest 1911 chamberings besides the original .45.

The only reason its associated with Mexico is that it's not considered a military cartridge and therefore civilians are able to own them.

Had a 70s lightweight commander. It was a beatiful gun and shot amazingly well. Just never shot it because nearly 50 year old aluminum frame guns are not known for their longevity.

it wasnt super special enuff

JMB intended his military pistol to be chambered in .38. it was thompson and lagarde who pulled the .45 caliber requirement out of their asses.

this really, much more competent and spread more quickly

Eh, not exactly. Browning and Colt were actually working on a .41 version of the 1902 series until the T-LG bullshit established .45 as the magic number.

Because Glock doesnt make a pistol for it.

>Mexican
>Hwhite

Pick one.
