it's the best GPMG as far as I'm concerned. It's lightweight and portable, it's easy to maintain and operate, it's chambered in a really common and powerful full-sized round and it has numerous intuitive ease-of-use features that other GPMGs sorely lack.

honestly trying to compare the FN MAG/ 240 to the PKM is really difficult. the PKM doesnt have nearly the same durability or lifepspan that the 240 does. the PKM exceeds as a squad support MG whereas the 240 is a way better overall GPMG on vehicles and helicopters and the like.

i operated a couple of them training with solders in ukraine, they're excellent guns
Very light and modular, and I like the stock as well, as it allows you to use your hand as a cheek rest, which is quite nice in the cold
I also prefer the x54R over .308 or 5.56 in terms of LMG/GPMG use, it fucks up walls quite well
I wish I could own one back home, but they are ridiculously expensive for something that wouldn't even be full auto.
