I think you should factor in cost effectiveness.

Geissele mounts are overpriced, BCM rails are overrated, the Radian shit is pointless, a suppressor would be a nice consideration, and iron sights are a waste of money

you might be better off just buying a complete TC bcg. even if you paid $0 for the stripped carrier, with the bolt, gas key/screws, youll probably end up at $70 which is what a complete bcg costs anyway. youll also have to torque the gas key screws (or you should anyway) so less work and same cost.

Is the VCOG any good? I hear a lot about the disadvantages of LPVOs being lack of durability compared to red dots and ACOGs, wasn’t the VCOG supposed to make the LPVO durable enough for military issue?

Are there any durability issues with the p4xi? I am planning to buy another lpvo and am between the Burris XTR ii which I already have and like versus the p4xi. Seems some people have issues with nitrogen leaks and things like that in the p4xi while the Burris is rugged despite being made in an overseas factory. Burris is also $100 less
