What's the practicality of composite or even steel helmets during SHTF anyway? Most last-gen or earlier ones are bulky and just fuck peripheral vision and your capability to hear.
I own quite a few old and modern helmets alike, but wouldn't you want the extra awareness not wearing a helmet would provide?

Although I don't think helmet will be practical in SHTF, I don't like any of the FAST-style or high cut helmet , they don't protect the side of the head nearly as much as I want a helmet to protect. For me personally, they pass as overengineered bump helmets at most.
Either get a helmet that covers as much area, or get none at all.
6B47 is the way to go *if* you take a kevlar/aramid helmet.

Highly situational. While it's a great frag helmet it's not that good against something like pistol bullets because it's not structurally rigid at all. For me it's the 6b28.

Don't own a 6B28 myself, but the gen3 model with the EMR print on it kind of intrigues me. I kinda like the light weight, the integrated NV mount and picatinny rail on the 47 though. Shame the helmet without the cover doesn't go well with any other gear I have.
NII Stali is indeed a pretty rad company, I've seen gen2 and gen3 6Б28 helmets for under 200 USD unused.
