spr/dmr
What guns do you already have?
>building a new
What do you already have? 16"?
>which is more worth building?
That's like, personal preference man. Do you want it for HD and aren't afraid of loud noises? 11.5". Want to pretend you're a sniper? 18".
A 16" with a red dot AR
20" 'Retrobuild'
and several AKs of different flavors
at this point im wondering if getting a different upper for the 20" would cover most of my bases
is 11.5 that much of an advantage over a 16" though?
I'd do a pistol build. Gives more variety to your collection.
>is 11.5 that much of an advantage over a 16" though?
Yes.
What you should be asking is how much advantage does 18" give you? As an 18" and 20" AR owner, I can tell you almost none.
Build two? One 11.5 pistol with red dot and one 16 with Lvpo. You don’t get much FPS going to 18
>how much advantage does 18" give you? As an 18" and 20" AR owner, I can tell you almost none.
talking about over a 16"?
Yes.
12.5" pistol. dwell time is like the perfect sweet spot for a shorty in 5.56 and the velocity increase over a 10.3" is rather significant, plus with lots of carbine gas 12.5"s you get a softer shooter.
OP, was it really necessary for you to use that pic?
No one wants to see your disgusting cow girl fetish, tablet.
Ignoring that, just get a 20 inch psa mouth cracker so you can kill people by shooting your rifle at an 80 degree yaw offset from your vision like Paul Harrell, at a budget. Also you get the added benefit of the 20 inch barrel causing sympathy among fudd vietnam vet justice system participants. None of them baddy stolen-by-a-nigger shoes short assault barrels.
go be fags somewhere else

Pleb tier taste you have there
>variety
All hes got are AKs and ARs at the end of the day
Step up your build game nigga. Challenge yourself with a more complex parts kit build. Do a galil ARM or an uzi
18" 6.5 Grendel.
Or 12" 6.5 Grendel, both of those work.
Here is my 18 inch. Shouldve gone with 20. Its faxon barrel is really light and I can hold it up with 1 arm easily. Its pretty awesome gun.
Here is my sbr 733 clone. Sbring was easy because of the eform 1 but still a pain. I like shooting it because its super light and has the colt pencil barrel.
But my favorite range is over state lines, and my 5320 hasnt come back.
If l was forced go pick. Id pick 20 inch faxon barrel gun and retro short sbr again. Very fun. Ultimately 20 inch more fun at long ranges.
Different user here, building a pistol, need some input. Already have a 16" 5.56, want a pistol. Thinking about either 10.3 or 11.5. Want the gun to be short and compact. Not sure if I want to go with 5.56 since I already have that ammo and don't really want to have to buy another, or .300bo since it's supposed to do better out of a shorter barrel. 6.5x39 grendel looks neat too. Going to be a 100yard and inward gun most likely. What handguard should I go with also? want something durable. Thought about the short bcm mcmr rail, but I hear FF keymod/mlok rails have a tendency to bend if dropped. Should I go quadrail? I won't be doing a FSB. Thanks in advance.
What brace is that? I dig the look.
If 5.56 a DMR. It sucks through short barrels. It also sucks at long range. It mostly just sucks.
If .308, a DMR.
The only SBR builds should be .300blk or 7.62x39. Any other caliber and you're just cücking a perfectly good rifle.
5.56 out of a short barrel will kill you bro
You can convert your 16" or 18" to a dmr with simple rail, trigger, stocks, and sight swaps.
Going with a 10-12'' you'll have something you don't already have.
