If someone can identify the type of hornet that is i'd be pleased. I don't know the variants well enough from that angle. From a redflag a couple(?) years ago if that's any help

That's not the tempest, that's the BAE systems "Replica" concept.
March 15, 2019 - 21:38
The vents between the tail fins indicate it's a Super Hornet. So E, F, or G. The solid "hump" behind the canopy glass indicate it's a twin-seater. So F or G. Only a single blade antenna on the spine and no SATCOM blister antenna, indicate it cannot be a Growler. Also has ACMI pods (for simulating missiles) instead of ALQ-218 on the wingtips. ALQ-218 is permanently carried. If they carry missiles or ACMI, they go on the outer under-wing pylons.
So that only leaves the F model Super Hornet.

thanks
I can identify flankers like a boss but i'm not great at identifying many non brit brit jet variants.

It's basically the same thing. The public model was deliberately vague and different from what BAE have been working on.

Yes, it's far too far advanced to be cancelled and will go ahead with our without EU support.
That either means foreign support (Italy, Sweden, Japan and India all have declared interest) or it means FCAS with France and Germany will be canned and they will join the UK led program.
The UK is following the JSF model of a leader and partners who get manufacturing and requirements bonuses rather than a mutual program like Tornado and Typhoon.
As it stands, the UK project is at least 2 years ahead of the FCAS project as it's already completed the requirements stage and has entered the design concept phase. Ity has far more funding and it's partner companies have infinitely more 5th gen experience.

It's an RCS test rig.
Markings 'on target'. Given exact casualties is impossible to tell until significant investigation, and air to air basically never happens, it's the best you're gonna get. USAF has done it too.
Thats ancient Jow Forums humor. Lurk more.
