Ceramic forearm/leg armor plates
Can also be used for full ceramic side armor coverage
That's really cool! Do you know what kind of carrier would be used to use those as shin/forearm protectors?
Duct tape
Patriot Performance Materials (the company that produced the plates) is long gone, so I'll probably make my own pouches for them.
That was one of the funniest things Ihave ever seen in a movie.
Get back to (eternal) sleep, Ned Kelly, your dead
Some of you are okay, dont come to Glenrowan tomorrow

Nah, he was fine.
Man, the late-period western-influenced samurai aesthetic is really underrated.
was he hit with a .45?
>western-influenced
It's literally imported western gear mixed with domestic pieces.
>The age of men is over.
>The time of the ORC has come!
Some suits are, others are purely local production.
I've always wondered why they don't make ballistic plates in the shape of buzabands or those greeves. The easternish types of armor that started as an elbow or knee cup and was one solid piece down to the wrist or ankle.
"Worn by 23-year-old French calvary rider François-Antoine Fauveau. The British cannonball tore through him on June 18, 1815 at Waterloo. There is a family legend that when his call-up papers arrived, François-Antoine was on the point of getting married, so his brother joined up, and died, in his place"
from reddit so pinch of salt and all ye
How much are the plates?
We've learned that mobility trumps armor. There's already a small chance of you being hit by actual bullets. Armor is to protect from fragmentation and protecting the vitals is good enough.
This is US army prototype armor made during ww1. Designed by a medieval historian, deemed too heavy, helmet looked too similar to the Germans and other allies were making fun of soldiers that wore it.
>that pointy part on the helmet
muh dick
I think they were a couple hundred when I bought them. I don't know the exact number
what's that for user...
Bulletproofme also sells rifle rated forearm and deltoid/bicep protection. Carriers too
>advance on a trench with this armor
>arms instantly shredded by MG fire
>legs instantly shredded by MG fire
>suffer as a potato on the battlefield until a shell hits you
Nightmare fuel right there
ive always been a fan of early body armor use
Ranger Body armor being used in the early days of Iraq
>GORBI! KATYA VODKA NIKOLAI!
Does the fight occur in and around a bank, or a prospect? This is important.
commercial advertisement for what was commonly known as "Chicken plate armor" during the vietnam war. Its the first armor I know of adopted by the US that could actually stop rifle rounds
>lightweight only 23 pounds
a more closer look at the hardcorps vest
.45 wouldn't have penetrated.

>So are you in prison or
Yes my man he is in prison wearing the new prison outfit that consists of salomon hiking shoes, a personal cell phone with unrestricted access internet access, and a pocket knife.
That movie
I just build stuff. Should stop pistol rounds. Need ceramic for rifle rounds
It's been a bit of a back and forth hasn't it? Especially with tanks, we bulked up but we're at a point where it doesn't matter anymore so mobility is key.
I feel like armour could make a comeback, but not in personal protection, like going autistic tier of protecting shit, like underground and everything.
Cringe.
The patch says "Polis", it's a Swedish cop.
I like the medieval aesthetic that a lot of WW1 era armor had
You realize that there are prison guards, right?
Oh those sandals...
thinking about buying a used plate off ebay and cutting it open and using the kevlar layers to make another thicker plate that matches me
>Let's go back to something gunpowder already defeated.
R8 my armor m8s
This silk and steel body armor stops 7mm nagant rounds at 3 ft. Szczepanik pattern vest was said to save life of the Spanish King Alfonso XIII during an assassination attempt in 1902.
>Silk and Steel
That would be an excellent name for the Champagne Room at the range.
I don't think this was for bullet protection user
>good luck im behind 20 plates of AR500
Who cares about mobility when you're impervious to small arms.
>dodge builds will disagree
It's possible that with the inevitable drone swarm, people will be wearing thick helmets to protect against being instantly beaned by miniature shaped charges
god fucking damnit that movie is great
They're splatter masks for tankers. When early tanks took fire it could knock little chips of metal and paint off the inside of the tank. They didn't have high strength polymer safety glasses in WW1.
