Shoulder abuse

So Jow Forums what are your favourite firearms with unnecessary recoil?
Inb4 "grow a pair faggot"

For me its my steyr m95 carbine

I just remembered, I had the chance to get one in 8mm Mauser for 500. Fuck, I should have gotten it.

Its a nice rifle, recently bought the bayonet for mine

My single shot 12 gauge pardner, full choke, with 3/4 oz 3” slugs. That shit hurts with a limb saver on it

Marlin .444 before I got the pad. One or two shots aren't bad. 10 or 12 and you're feeling it

12 gauge with 3.5" turkey loads and sabot slugs or an m44 mosin with heavy ammo is about the worst I can come up with.

Honestly, grow a pair. M95 carbine recoil is underwhelming for all the hype.

Mauser in 45-70.
I have guns chambered in higher energy cartridges, but a fully tapped out 45-70 popping out of a 6 pound gun with a steel butt plate is brutal.

ooh that is a good one

im not sure if all shotguns are like this, but my old police 870 has a stupid amount of kick. probably because it doesn't fucking weigh anything.

For me it’s my AR15. The recoil bruises my shoulder, the brass shell casings disorient me as they fly past my face, the smell of sulfur and destruction makes me sick, and the explosions give me a temporary form of PTSD

post yours

Type 53 mosin

G3 w/ collapsible stock. Nuff said.

What boomer shithole forum did you crawl out of and can you go back?

Muh Remington Model 81 in .300 Savage. It's not so bad out of a Savage 99, but when you've got both the barrel and the bolt ploughing your shoulder, it kicks you fairly hard. Webm related

Okay

For me it's a 30-06 mossberg rifle.
I can't shoot that fucking thing without my shoulder hurting.

nice, what nation? mine's czech

Mine started life as an Austrian and ended up being a Hungarian for some time. I want to shoot it more, but last time I went out the recoil lug sheared off and I don't know how much faith I have in the old wood glue.

my m44 and m91 kick harder than my lever 45/70 for some reason.

that's a damn shame. you think it's something you can replace?

i found mine has had an issue lately with ejecting clips prematurely when the bolt is opened, but theres nothing visibly broken or anything. figure the clip latch spring may just have lost tension

My 300 Remington ultra magnum. Should be an accurate rifle but fuck it’s scary to fire. Fireball and concussive, recoil is pretty bad too.
I need to get the barrel threaded and use a suppressor with it.

Pretty much any 3” turkey shell will kick harder than anything short of elephant guns.

My only bubba'd milsurp.
Was looking for a Ruger No 1 since its pretty much the toughest action chambered in 45-70, then came across this mislabeled on gunbroker and had to have it since it IS the toughest action chambered in 45-70 and was a very high quality 1970s conversion job; nice Boyd's stock with glass bedding, Lyman adjustable rear sight, super nice blueing, etc.

Sounds like that's the problem to me. And I could buy a new stock, but this one matches so I'd like to keep it. I just guess I'll have to see if the repair holds up

sucks that it came out at all. best of luck though, hopefully the wood glue does hold up

Not bad at all, the stock looks nice.

My Gewehr 1888. It's not so much of the recoil itself as it is me accidentally pocketing it with the bone of my shoulder now and then. Doesn't feel too good.

My 14 inch sbs with heavy 3 inch loads. Everyone hates and loves it.

Mossberg 835 Ultimag running 3 1/2" turkey loads. Got a slug barrel for it also and 3" sabot slugs kick pretty hard too.

the mosin nagant. 5 shots isnt bad, but you start to feel 10 or more unpadded.

that sounds like all kinds of fun, post pics

We don't use that language here. You have to go back.

I was told mosins really suck to shoot but I pounded out 100 rounds relatively quickly and didn't mind the recoil much at all. The weight counteracts it considerably.

Not sure if people are bitches or I'm just hearing fuddlore

Don't have a good place to take pics atm, but just 4u user. Leaf btw.

I am pretty jealous of your guns honestly. My m95 is budapest (and a few other places maybe, has some places where stamps were ground off) and it feeds like absolute dirty ass. everything catches on everything the fuck else, and it feeds shells rounds super poorly too. Its pretty though.

That sucks user. Mine is butter smooth, I just wish I trusted the stock to hold

Thanks user. I got it for 450, so I overpayed too. I am pretty sure mine saw a lot of service and was put bacl together from assorted random parts over and over. it screws into the stock kinda weird ans wont go unless you hold it just right for instance. I figure some day I will sell it and move on. Till then, its a pretty looking piece.

lol hold it right. I shoot a .30-06 710 regularly and can get through a box of ammo no problem
Well shit. I shoot duck loads every year in a 12 gauge pump no problem, but I’ll be turkey hunting for the first time next season. Least I won’t be shooting many of those

its not so bad, but its definitely not great.

Buy a 10 gauge

Wtf user your rifle looks like it was made yesterday

This fucking thing. x51 for anything more than 3 or 4 rounds is awful

Attached: mkIIsynthetic2 (1).jpg (638x287, 162K)

Sporter arisaka in 30-06
Barrel is short

>shoulder abuse
>unnecessary recoil
>8mm mauser
Top fucking kek, are you a manlet or something?

Attached: 1547931201486.jpg (225x225, 9K)

I kind of want one, but what holds me back is that I would be spending at least $1,000 on a gun that I would rarely shoot and would only really own it for occasional fun at the range. Ammo cost and availability makes me think of 10 gauge as a toy more than a useful tool like a 12 gauge.

Just get a matching Bulgarian contract long rifle. They are awesome. Too bad mine has had the crest scrubbed off, probably captured during WWI.

I used to deer hunt with an ithaca 37 featherlight. That was punishment.

Ruger GP100 .357M with full power magnum handloads.
