Calling all Glock 20 and 40 owners!

Please buy a 9x25 Dillon barrel from KKM. They will only do a run with a minimum of 15 orders and I know I'm not the only person on the list. It's time to see the light that is 9x25 Dillon.

Why mess with perfection?

Yeah

Velocity

Before someone says you can't get ammo, both underwood and doubletap sell 9x25 Dillon. Also don't you want 2000fps and 800ft lbs?

Attached: _20190516_111846.jpg (635x361, 37K)

What about mags

It fits in standard 10mm mags

You still use ordinary 10mm mags.

Here's proof you can safely hit 2500 fps with the 7.25" barrel and stay at just about SAAMI 10mm pressure of 37500psi.

I have 2 20s and I need this barrel. Do we just email them directly?

Here's some rambling ons about how with the Lehigh Xtreme Defenders you can obtain rifle like wounding via permanent wound cavities by overcoming human tissue elasticity with high velocity handgun bullets.

Attached: MFD_pasta_cap.png (833x734, 166K)

Power Pistol is bae

Yes just email them and tell them what gun it's for, what length of barrel you want, threaded or not and how many with your name and phone number.

Yeah, yeah. Screwdriver booleets radially impel tissue away from the wound path with enough force to tear beyond elastic capacity.
They're hot shit.

OK

Yeah, I’m in. I’m sending them one tonight. There is some joker selling a Lone Wolf barrel for $300 on eBay.

So what's stopping you from having the best pistol cartridge to employ those properties? One of us!

KKM will probably have a higher quality barrel vs a lone wolf anyway.

I have 3000 rounds of .357 sig sitting in a storage bin gathering dust, and they've been in there for years. If I wanted to shoot anything more than 9mm I'd get a PCC. The 10mm PCC market is already pretty slim, let alone ones with readily available barrel swaps.

Or you could get a glock 40 with a 9x25 Dillon barrel and get 357sig PCC velocity out of a handgun that fits in a fanny pack.

Attached: _20190516_114301.jpg (3000x2403, 2.18M)

Sell the ammo and buy a 10mm glock and a 9x25 Dillon barrel. You could get the glock 20 and the CAA micro roni and have a concealable rifle and a carbine conversion whenever.

Will it work with a G21?

I'm gonna guess no unless you can drop a factory glock 40 barrel in the 41 and have it work I can't imagine it would be compatible.

Replace 40 with 20 and 41 with 21 sorry.

Also 9x25 Dillon defeats soft body armor.

Join the dozens of us world wide

Nah, I prefer my 10mm. I guess I’d rate 9x25 third after 460 Rowland, so there’s that? 9, 40, and 45 can suck it though.

>please buy this cartridge no one makes en masse

Nah, I'd rather stick with my 28cpr 10mm and 25cpr 357 sig

and how much per bullet is that?

$1.65 but it's the best self defense ammo one can buy and it's only a few cents a round more than the 357sig load.

And no target ammo?

You can reload 9x25 Dillon cheaper than 10mm and probably cheaper than 357sig.

73 cents a round for full power target ammo.

Attached: _20190516_142408.jpg (720x534, 57K)

Yea and I can reload 10mm cheaper regardless.

This isn't commercially available anywhere and if I'm gonna reload its gonna be for when I give a shit like precision rifle shooting. Not target ammo

holy fuck thats garbage, I'll stick with my 28cpr 10mm thanks

No 9mm bullets are cheaper than 40cal/10mm bullets and using the exact same 10mm brass 9x25 Dillon is a cheaper round to shoot reloads

What's the ft lbs of your 28cpr 10mm?

Implessive, nice to finally see someone giving 9x25 the love it deserves as opposed to those watered down Underwood and BB loads.

Its fucking target ammo, its the same load as 40s&w

I'm not some bullshitter benchracer like you see on /o/. I'm shooting for target and enjoyment and I'm not shooting for wicked precision like I do with my precision rifles. Its literally plinking. This ammo isn't cheap, its not readily available and I'm not paying prices like that.

>cheapest shit is 75cpr with my discount
woopty do 9mm stronk.

>buy another fucking caliber
Nah, I'm good paco

I would but I only have a 22 and 43

its literally wild cat at this point. Its gonna end up like every other shit caliber that people try to usher in, even 327 federal magnum hasn't caught on.

Dude thats 730 dollars for 1000 rounds. Thats not target ammo.

I bought reloading dies and I'm gonna load cheap as fuck ammo and not be a poorfag and complain about prices. This is literally the best handgun cartridge for self defense and hunting you can shoot out of a glock and actually be able to buy ammo even if it's only from a couple of sources and expensive.

Attached: _20190514_144558.jpg (720x600, 44K)

It's better than 327 because people already own 10mm guns and it's only a barrel swap to get started.

Holy shit! I feel fucking retarded for wasting my time with any other handgun.

So you could shoot your target 10mm ammo and load cheaper 9mm into that once shot brass and have even cheaper reload than if you just reloaded it as 10mm

>You're poor
Yea thats what you said last time you tried justifying this wildcat shit. Call me when it touches 10mm prices.

>only a barrel swap
I'm not buying a barrel for one fucking cartridge that isn't even cheap to buy in the first place. Not only that they don't make barrels for the 1006 anymore

Attached: my 1006.jpg (5344x3006, 3.09M)

Why though? Ask them about 9mm Super!

Attached: 9mm Super.png (480x339, 53K)

I'm not reloading for it you stupid fag. I don't even reload now. Its far easier to just buy 9mm, 10mm and 45acp than to blow hours reloading for hand loads on a meme cartridge.

>when suddenly that G41 doesn't feel like such a disappointing waste of money after all

Attached: 9mm Super chamber drawing.jpg (2338x1700, 458K)

That's why you'll never achieve greatness.

If you can get kkm to run a line of 9mm super barrels and find a set of dies I'll buy a 41 and join you. But as it stands I can get 9x25 Dillon barrels and dies.

I'm gonna reload for my glock 29 and I should be able to hit 2kfps with my conceal carry

Attached: 1557911622726m.jpg (1024x648, 115K)

forget this shit I'd rather just use my FN57 and hit 2500fps with a 23gr bullet

my bad 2100fps

Or do it with a 65gr bullet in a glock 40 and actually have Penetration

>penetration
Who cares, its target practice you fucking benchshooter.

Will 9mm Dillion work in 45 acp 1911 mags like 10mm?

neither barrel length will fit the glock 40.

So apparently I can drop a G40 slide into my G21
Where can I get an assembled G40 slide??

Just order the parts seperately and assemble yourself

Where tho?

There a few write ups I have found where people are shooting 10mm inna G21 with a mag, spring and barrel swap. I don’t see why Dillon wouldn’t work since the headstamp is the same....

>reloading automatic handgun ammo
No fucking thank you. I'm not some urbanfag who shoots on someone else's land or, God forbid, an indoor range. That is far too much work over 10mm.

Will standard 9mm bullets stand up to the velocities you're pushing 9x25 to? Honest question.

10mm is probably one of the easiest cartridges to load for aside from 45acp. Literally any straight walled handgun cartridge, really. I don't think you reload, user.

I bet some of the heavier 147 grain hollow points will be slow enough and FMJ should be fine at any weight

I did a little research and assuming I could get a 7.5" barrel for the glock 40 and also a 75gr Xtreme Defender bullet I wanted to see how 5.56 compares. I selected Hornady TAP SBR 75gr as the 5.56 bullet because it had good data in 7.5" ARs. I believe that in short barrels 9x25 Dillon is better than 5.56.

Attached: 9x25 Dillon is better than 5.56.jpg (1262x1286, 292K)

I put that same theoretical 75gr Xtreme Defender into a 11.5" barrel to simulate a 9x25 Dillon AR build and was given a velocity of 2635fps

Attached: 9x25 dillon 75gr 11.5inch.jpg (1212x619, 105K)

And I found some chrono reading online for the hornady tap sbr in a 14.5" barrel 2460fps. That means that 9x25 Dillon is a better cartridge in a 11.5" AR than 5.56 in a 14.5" barrel.
>5.56 BTFO

Attached: 14.5inch 75gr tap sbr.jpg (750x283, 56K)

Everyone knows short barrels for 5.56 are less than ideal, but they're good enough for what they're used for.

2754fps for the 75gr 9x25 Dillon out of a 14.5" barrel.

>!DANGEROUS (theoretical) LOAD DO NOT USE!
I'm sold

Nobody who knows the ammo would use a 75gr projectile in anything shorter than an 11"~ barrel. Its below the effective frag range and you'll only get some tip deformation leading to mild expansion. Given the relatively low energy you're dealing with it won't produce significant stretch.
For a gun that small a larger diameter bullet will probably always give you better wounding potential.

Your data seems off though. The 65gr .355 Lehigh meme bullet should be .510~ long nominally. The 90gr projectile lists at .580 on their website.
QuickLOAD shows 14gr of Power Pistol producing a PMAX near 50k PSI with the load data you're using, not
1.250 COAL, 23.926gr case capacity, .510" long projectile 75gr weight, 14gr Power Pistol, projected working pressure is 48,770 psi. Increasing projectile length to .530 brings it up to over 51k psi.

Look at the pressure it's at SAAMI for 10mm

And your max load here would be at nearly 68k psi, practically a hand grenade.

OK how about comparing 65gr vs 65gr 5.56 vs 9x25 Dillon

Attached: 5.56 BTFO.jpg (1861x1282, 340K)

37,507psi that's only 7psi over SAAMI

Again, theres something horribly wrong with your data. If you tried to put 16gr of Power Pistol behind the 65gr projectile you'd be at 64k psi.
Try using QuickLOAD, not whatever back alley suicide calculator you're using.

Robbing drug dealers?

That is quickload dude

For blinding and deafening everyone in a room, concussing them with the blast, and possibly killing whoever was directly in front of the muzzle. Great for starting forest fires as well.

You've done something incredibly wrong. My projections are matching known good load data. Yours are totally fucking insane and don't even pass a sanity check with a casual glance.

Attached: QL.jpg (1893x803, 269K)

oh
oh dude
I'm so sorry about that furry thing on your gun
I sincerely hope that wasn't voluntary

No but the barrel was only $50

This is a fantastic thread. I'm down for a 7.25" G40 barrel if I can find dies that aren't $100+

Look at your total case capacity vs usable case capacity, sherlock.
The Lehigh bullet is technically boat tail, but the degree is so fucking tiny it might as well be considered flat base. Seated to 1.250 COAL the projectile is well into the case. There is literally no way you still have 23gr+ of usable case capacity.
That is why your projection is wrong.
With standard 24.90gr case capacity, and seating a .510" projectile to 1.250 OAL, you should read 18.922gr usable case capacity.

The moar you know. Its a good thing you've never tried any of these because you'd be missing fingers right now.

It is a hollow base my dude it has a giant hole drilled in the bottom.

i hate fucking gun modders
if it works just fucking FINE dont fucking mess with it
yeah purist glock doesnt kill enough lets fucking increase its fps

you know what im all against retards owning guns(which is 90% of Jow Forums)but they should really ban anyone that tries to modify any gun especially classics

But I really appreciate your concern so when my dies arrive I'm going to load a 65gr XD to 1.250 without a primer or powder and tare it on a nice scale and inject water in through the primer pocket to get the exact grH20 to put into quickload and I'll post my results here for a second opinion on where to start working up my load.

What's that you say?
Use the fuck out of those last 6 loads?
Is that you, lord?
Do I need to savage the demons with my gun, or my raging boner?

Attached: 1550965998822.jpg (289x326, 44K)

You have to get all new mags with correct feed lips to accommodate the neck and stabilize the cartridge, or else the loose cartridge will jam the gun.

No, I'm saying I ain't scrounging through my dirt to pick up brass, sort the 9mm from the 10mm from the 45 from the Dillon. Too much work.

My 178gr ELD March .308 loads are cheaper than that.

So just place 15 orders and set up a storefront on eBay to resell the other 14.

Absolutely untrue
