Imagine if Al Qaeda had hijacked those.

Oh god I want to hug it

The Interwar "Golden Age of Aviation" period was the best...

Such a shame that we'll never experience anything like it again.
I personally blame time, overregulation, and college degrees becoming the new high school diplomas.

For being woefully outdated and under-maintained, they did better against the Luftwaffe than they should have. Something like 110 confirmed kills to 100 losses. By no means a good ratio but when their only advantages were climbing and turning, and some lacked radio, there was something skillful going on there. Starts to explain why Polish pilots in the RAF were doing so well when given modern machines.

It was really only a deathtrap because of inexperience with huge power. After WWII pilots found them much more manageable

dios mio...

If you've never seen one fly in person, you're missing out. They're fucking adorable.

My uncle gave me a model of a Peahooter, so they'll always have a special place in my heart.

I think there’s only like 2 of them left :(
Your uncle sounds based

>Anachronistic.
