americans, more experience, better equipment, more professional.

yeah

Yeah.

any spetsnaz soldiers may not kill their fellow
>inb4 Melgar

Russians are better in urban combat. And whoever said Americans are better equipped is a dumbass. Russians don’t wear any plate carriers which I think is retarded but they carry the God round of 5.45x39 so fuck it they don’t need to have body armor. But I Dont really believe either of them have been tested fully

basedd

It truly is summer

this, summerfags melt in winter

>unit that shows off its "prowess" with 3rd world shenanigans like karate chopping cinder blocks
or
>unit that doesn't need to show itself off and also doesn't have 3 movies/yr that exaggerate their exploits
Delta has tons of actual experience, better equipment, and better training. I suspect Spetsnaz guys are "harder" as in they can survive in more adverse environments, but Delts takes the cake with everything else.

>Russians are better in urban combat
Grozny

Do guys in Delta have an MOS? I can't find anything that says that's the case, but there's also the issue that everything about it is highly classified.

Spetsnaz literally just means special forces. They're not an example of Russian special forces, they are the Russian special forces.

God I think of the video of the Chechnia commander trying to talk down the Russians from coming to their deaths. Shit makes me tear up to this day

This

What op saying is like Russian special forces vs delta

So that's like saying every special forces USA has vs a select special forces in Russia

Spetznaz would also means MPs sunny puzatski says he spetznaz but he's really a low level guy

No, they are not officially recognized by the military.

Do you have a link user?

QRD? Had a quick look at wiki, tactics of the 2nd chechen war seem to have been "lots of artillery".

That's what I figured. I wonder what these guys are doing these days. I heard they were training Al Nusra at some point (and weren't too happy about it). Also makes me wonder what units the military has that nobody really knows anything about.

Based Alik poster

Yeah

>spetsnaz
Which one, retard? There are like hundreds of different special purpose units in Russia.

>spectnaz
which one?

>Special forces vs special forces
Why?

Which part of the Spetsnaz? It is a fairly general moniker, and I don't know the Russian equivalent of Delta, which I hear is pretty solid as far as SF goes. The only SF group I have heard stories about in a great deal is the SAS, which while good are almost machines in the scariest sense. That they are the types that don't drink to cope while being blase to borderline war crimes. Hearsay though, can anyone weigh in?

Funny thing is right after this happened the terminal was taken by 2! small squads of VSV with support of 2-3 tanks

Attached: th_savin_1.jpg (600x383, 111K)

here is a cut from General Troshev Memoirs
"The consolidated force, numbering a little more than three hundred (!) soldiers and officers, had to cut off the approach of reinforcements of militants in the city center from the area of Katayama, but without meeting resistance, slipped the right intersection, lost orientation, and went to the railway station, where the battalion of the 81st regiment had already concentrated. And then Colonel Savin made a fatal mistake, considering that in the area of the station there is no enemy. The battalions, standing in columns along the streets, did not take care of the organization of defense, did not put out checkpoints along the route (although this task was set to the units of the INTERIOR Ministry), did not conduct proper reconnaissance. Dudayev immediately used. Selected forces of militants - "Abkhazian" and "Muslim" battalions, numbering more than a thousand people, were secretly transferred here.

Attack of the station began in the evening on December 31. The militants attacked from three sides, not come close, and opened fire with rocket-propelled grenades, mortars and guns. More days of motorized infantry repelled a violent attack by Dudayev. On the morning of January 2, Colonel Savin decided to break through. Motorized rifle with the support of two tanks barely managed to escape from the encirclement, the losses amounted to more than seventy soldiers and officers. Was killed and the brigade commander Ivan Savin. But the militants suffered significant losses, with over three hundred killed. About this fight tell a lot of tall tales. Some domestic media, which voiced information from the Chechen side, are also involved in the creation of myths. I here give the real facts."

Russian obviously.

The US guys are not trained or hardened to individual combat and their fitness is much lower. They're just forward observers basically.

Russian Spetsnaz equivalent are much more physically fit and rugged, and have experience in direct firefights with Mudslimmic sand niggers.

Russians are also expected to be able to operate without constant supervision from billions of dolalrs worth of CAS aircraft 24/7.

Spetsnaz means special forces, or I should say SOF. It's a very large umbrella that spans a very long amount of time, so your question is almost as stupid as saying, "Who can beat up who? Batman or Superman?"

Are you 12?
>the state of Jow Forums

Attached: 343535.png (545x735, 1009K)

it really depends on what you mean by "special forces", but I'd say generally speaking, the US has better experience and better equipment. though the Russian spetznaz is still very good and have had a lot of experience now in Syria.

Detachment A was pretty cool.

I think Sofrep or Newsrep just posted an article on some of their berlin shenanigans.

I figure all special forces units do some pretty fucked up shit, and recruiters all look for the best out of lower tier units with the right psychological profile.

From what I've read and watched about the SAS though, it is a rough life that can absolutely wear guys down. Plenty of them drink too much, if not because of the constant combat stress, because their personal lives are all fucked up; divorces, never seeing their kids. Etc...

t. Guy who had cinder blocks broken on his head as part of "training"

do you think before you post?
wouldn't they freeze?
wouldn't winterfags melt in summer?
>doesn't melt in hot climate but melts in cold climate
what in the fuck are you smoking and where can I get some?

batman
he has a plan
superman is just a dumb jock

Lmfao are you serious? I've seen the conscripts getting chairs thrown at them but that's fucking hilarious if there's a video.

Russians. They got a ton of combat experience in Syria recently. The US forces were mostly there as advisors and forward observers.

Just look up some Russian spetznaz "demonstrations." They're mostly third-world tier macho posturing. That's not to say Russia doesn't have some competent special forces, just that the people in those videos aren't the competent ones.

It's ironic dude, like this post here.

>prep time
Look, I like Adam West through gravel-breath American Psycho, but Superman can punch out Batman with his little finger. That's why he's boring.

"Spetsnaz" is an american plug term for anything "russian/soviet special forces". Spetsnaz literally means just this, "special purpose forces"; it's a class, not a particular company. There are multiple different entities in and out of russian army that are "spetsnaz", but they might or might not be called so.

What you saw is probably airborne, who are very vaguely "spetsnaz". Dangerous groups like SSO or Alpha or Spetsnaz GRU or Wagner PMC do not do shows.

In 2019? Russians.

They don't have a FOB mentality. They are ready to operate from wheels and get embedded with locals without a reliable airlift or supply lines.

Equipment is pretty much the same, with US having the edge in communication.

You're right, but
>Wagner
>Dangerous
kek

Whoever goes out to live on syrian rocks for months is.

>Specnaz
Basically like saying all of SOCOM.
> Delta Force
Very specific group.
What's better user? A fleet of semi trucks or a snowmobile?

I mean, they tend to go out on rocks that don't belong to them without securing air superiority first. Reckless more so than dangerous.

No.
Not even.
I've met lots of special bus solders and everyone is your average redneck or maybe truck driver tier solder.
Of course that says more about Americas truck drivers as the quality force they are but.. They are.
Navy seals, Army rangers, specialist. Truck drivers, or gun runners.
There are lots of, or was lots of old boomer special forces driving over the road.
Never met any Delta and few Air force but special force is special force when it comes to character.

>special bus solders

>russia invades city of grozny
>thinks it'll be a pushover, will own city once they take the city center
>mech inf roll in with vast numbers, can't remember exact count, refer to wiki
>go directly to city center no contact and think they won by what their stated mission goal was
>rebels pop out and destroy all logistics, neutralizing all mechanized assets
>intricate fortifications between buildings causing intense street to street fighting.
>mass confusion in russian formation
>unable to coordinate efforts
>russia suffers mass casualties

>>russia suffers mass casualties
such is life

are you implying that's a bad thing?

I knew this Air Force contractor or some shit who told me he was in Vietnam. He was a coworker's dad but the dude was redpilled as fuck, talking about Hillary and Obama muslim shit. He told me they used to get dropped off into the jungle and were securing POW's or some shit like that. Apparently they had something like SOFLAM that would mark targets for their guys to bomb, they would then run in there and grab who they needed to.

I guess he was PJ of some sort but I really doubt he wasn't what he said he was. He seemed real about the shit he told me when I told him I was joining the military. I wonder what exactly he was doing for our country.

He also claimed Russians are anything approaching effective in urban combat, so I don't think he's all that smart.

ah man, day/k/are how I missed you

To be fair, Chechnya was a shitshow of dumb conscripts getting assfucked

I'm sure their operations in Syria are a lot cleaner.

America because Russia is a shithole with an aid's pandemic and a smaller economy than italy and almost no foriegn bases and no ability to force project any meaningful force.

To be fair, that doesn't necessarily affect the quality of their special forces in a vacuum. A number of their-world countries have competent special operations units.

>I wonder what exactly he was doing for our country.
probably rape

> Based to be fair poster

>be ivan
>get deployed behind enemy lines
>get raped by commanding officer then die of aids as russia denies my existance

That's less unpleasant than getting told to attack US positions only to be AC-130'd.

Getting killed by a sudden a hail of cannonfire seems preferable to me but whatever floats your boat.

I think you no longer understand the purpose of special forces.

Brain inertia is amazing. I bet many on Jow Forums still live in 2004 or so.

>Special forces versus Delta Force
Alpha Group is probably better than delta same for the SOF
Either way that’s like asking
>who’s better, the entire United States marine corps or the 101st airborn

Spetznaz is a blanket term that applies to everything from internal counter terror like the US FBI HRT, to combative special forces for conventional war like USs SEALs and Delta and even Rangers, and on up to glow nigger tier units like CIA SAD for black ops. Needless to say in terms of counter terror the US is probably better but there isn't enough evidence to say who is better in the latter two categories because anything that has gone wrong or even things that have gone right are probably classified.

I knew Russia gives some of their spec-ops multicam, but MARPAT and what looks like UCP? That's kinda funny.

Russians very clearly use up to date equipment. The USs technical advantage is in large scale logistical and cybernetic systems. Not in personal gear.
