What are your thoughts on FN?
Alexander Nelson
Noah Jenkins
They should be in charge of all military weapon development from now on.
Xavier James
*squishy squishy*
Brayden Morgan
better than HKuck

Jason Jones
Generally overpriced me guns on the civ market but solid service weapons on the military/LEO market. For example a real P90 is fucking awesome but a PS90 is trash without a few necessary modifications.
Nicholas Williams
They make good stuff, but I sort of think they've petered out. For a while there it was one thing after another with all these interesting and novel designs, but the only new stuff they've come out with in the last decade is a SCAR with an extended rail and an MSR knockoff they threw together for the PSR program basically just to fuck with Remington.
Luis Morgan
This post made by the HK gang.
Gabriel Scott
BMW of guns. People buy FN because of brand, not because of actual performance.
I'm not saying their stuff is shit, it isn't. But it doesn't perform anywhere near well enough to justify the price or the fanboyism.

James Clark
What is psa? The Nissan Sentra of the AR market? Used corolla?

Ryder Sanders
I highly recommend you look into a side by side comparison of the p90 and ps90.
You'd be blown away by what FN managed to squeak in as a 'civilian' weapon. Anyone that recognizes it's mechanism could make it boogaloo ready in 30 seconds.
Oliver James
Daily reminder that attaching a suppressor to a SCAR voids the warranty.
Evan Lewis
And I definitely respect that, heaven knows how fucked up import laws are that we should be happy that PS90s even exist on the market. I'm just saying their pricing is much like Zenith's in that you're buying quality but mostly paying for a logo
Brody Green
t
The p90 is approaching the pinnacle of firearms design and this substantially shines through in the ps90, sorry.
Leo Morales
Most based company out there right now that makes/made all the guns you love.

Jeremiah Barnes
ps90 were being blown out for 800 apiece if you were old enough around in the 2010s.
Prices have inflated because of reduced import due to lack of interest. Pushing it into a niche weapon. totally different from the mp5 shenanigans.
Aiden Williams
Couldn't be more wrong. I have zero problem spending money on nice stuff, but then I consider nice stuff a SLR titanium gas block or a BSF carbon barrel.
If SCARs were ~$2300 guns, I'd probably own one.
Josiah Barnes
The USA really fucked the FAL huh?
Joshua Roberts
Sadly only 2 of those are still in production
Tyler Rivera
A company with the balls to redesign their LMG into closed bolt so they can try and sell it to civvys
you're forgetting closed bolt SAW. the absolute audacity
Elijah Lewis
>Fortunately only 2 of those are still in production

Need to update their PS90 (other calibers, 10mm and 7.5 FK).
Kayden Campbell
Their pistols are horrible.
Jeremiah Bailey
>7.62 real fuckin nato instead of .270fogbreather
Fucked, or made it better?
Oliver Long
I would like to have the opportunity to try a 280 and RFN FAL side by side. I love 308 but I hear the 280 models were excellent
Robert Perez
FN certainly has an interesting history. The FAL will always be remembered as an FN classic. In terms of their modern firearms, it's hit or miss. Their SCAR platform and the FNX-45 are certainly cool guns. The F2000, FiveSeven, and P90 are interesting but very niche. Anything else that I didn't mention isn't noteworthy or it sucks. The FN 509 chokes with a simple splash of water. There's multiple videos online documenting this.
Wyatt Ward
A company that gives no fucks.
All their semi guns are pretty much drop-in for a 07/02 FFL.
I'm baffled by how they do this while HK can't even manage to bring in a chromelined barrel.
Eli Butler
forgetting the SAW
Bentley Robinson
the 5.7 is the patricians choice
Logan Brown
why spend money on meme parts when you can get a combat proven meme gun
Josiah Carter
They're like two miles into Wallonia, which means they only speak french. If it weren't for the whole speaking French thing, I might have tried to get a job there.
Mercedes of guns actually. True, both Mercedes and FN offer some mediocre stuff that gets bought by civilians because of the brandname, but back in the day they used to make some good stuff (pic related for Mercedes), and there's still some non-civilian stuff out there that's pretty damn good (full retard machineguns for FN, and the Unimog for Merc).
David Murphy
Nah they are the BMW of guns. BMW isn't afraid to cut corners, then sell the cut corner as a benefit. I am thinking specifically of the extruded aluminum uppers on SCARs, that is like the cheapest shit way of doing that yet SCAR fanboys will talk about how great it is. Also like BMW they are coasting on the glories of the past and bring absolutely nothing innovative or particularly valuable to the current market.
Mercedes actually will spend the money to do things the sophisticated way. They are more like HK.
Henry Carter
Pro.

>HK: The barrel was intentionally not chrome lined on the mr556 and mr762 because it is a precision rifle.
HK btfo
Jason Martin
Chrome lining is for extended barrel life, not necessarily for precision. The MR556 is not a service weapon to be used for decades, the nitride barrel will perform better.
Jack Jackson
>just-as-good bren boy
A smart manufacturer uses the most efficient process to meet dimensional specifications.
Milling out a solid block is retarded if you want a consistent tubular railed platform for a bolt carrier, and is something you would only do if you didn't have the production capacity or volume to manage the overhead of extrusion tooling. If you actually knew what you were talking about you'd know extrusion is more expensive from a tooling perspective than CNC.
Alexander Moore
HK cucked you on the barrel. cope harder.
The nitride barrel is a brownells part, not real HK.
Nathaniel Sanders
You retarded nogunz nigger this is absolutely true, chrome-lined barrels are less accurate than a barrel with a melonite finish. I don't even own a heckler & kek so don't even @ me as a shill.
Nathaniel Anderson
HK sells it straight from their own website, lie more.
Josiah King
They believe the lies pushed by PSA and Faxon
A chrome-lined barrel is far more durable and no less accurate than an unlined barrel if the people who are manufacturing know what the fuck they are doing and aren't just making lowest bidder price point shit. Nitriding is a shitty finish (it got tested by the military and rejected decades ago) that exists because the JUSTASGOOD crowd is as stupid as they are poor.
Gabriel Wright
Criterion doesn't seem to thinks so.
Parker Carter
It depends what the gun is for. If you want a service rifle chrome lining all the way. If you want a low volume of fire precision gun, I'd say nitrieded stainless will give you the sharpest rifling with the longest life you'll get out of stainless.
Landon Gray
>Criterion
Top kino
Thomas Peterson
No they don't.
I can't believe you actually made me go check kek.
Josiah Mitchell
>chrome-lined barrels are JUSTASGOOD as melonite for accuracy!
See how that works? Don't throw stones in glass houses.
Easton Taylor
why is FN a sore spot for HK gang
Kayden Russell
It's fanboys going against fanboys. But it's worse than poorfag fanboys going at each other because at least they don't hinge the value of a several thousand dollar purchase on an internet argument
Hunter Rivera
post AR and barrel manufacturer coward. If it's not Criterion or DD, your chrome lined barrel is trash.
Gabriel Lewis
Because FN made a cool combat .45 with more capacity than HK, and honestly it really hurts bro
Daniel Campbell
p90 vs mp7
FAL vs g3
mk17 vs 417
also forgetting the scar vs bren boys and the hipower vs 1911
Logan Turner
>FN MAG
Hudson Cruz
HK gets mogged hard by FN in every competition so they're salty as fuck. It doesn't help that the German government constantly throws shitfits on HK's behalf when they lose.
Note that HKucks always shitpost FN but FN fans never shitpost anyone.
Nathan Kelly
because it's insanely triggering to see FN bring all the latest whizzbangs to civvy market while their favorite company is still stuck on a roller subgun from the '60s
Ryan Turner
Not only that but they don't even make any of their roller guns for the civ market without a retarded markup. Really they could make 91s off thier tooling for like 5-600 bucks and easily sell it for 2k yet they'd rather make overpriced ARs
Samuel Perez
No shit they don't. They don't make them for the military market either.
>they could make 91s off their tooling
What tooling? The tooling in Turkey?
Samuel Sullivan
What a shit thread. Everything involving FN ends up being shit.
Chase Watson
They're FN awesome. The FNS/509 are glock killers. The FNX is a USP killer. The SCAR is an AR killer but the military is hell bent on keeping that piece of shit 60's gun around.
Julian Hughes
very great, from there browning high power pistol to their P90
Jaxon Hall
The mr556 and mr762 are retarded expensive guns though, and the fact they lack even a chrome lined barrel just proves HK is just riding on gamers and fanboys.
