first post? lol
11B here! hahaa

seems like the biggest obstacle into ocs for most people is the gt score not the college degree

May 2020 I will graduate college with a Master's degree in Information Technology.
Does this help my odds of being a candidate for Coast Guard OCS or will I likely have to enlist then apply for OCS later?
I'm looking to go into an Intelligence Specialist or Information Systems Technician job. Can anyone here comment on these jobs? Thanks in advance.

im 11C is the Iran boogaloo actually going to happen?

At what level of physicality will I survive, be confident in, and/or impress the USMC?

Attached: 1530549046542.jpg (720x738, 122K)

In DEP with a contract I didn't really want. If I don't show up for my ship date, what happens? Nothing? I don't think I'm even under the UCMJ yet.

I made the /meg/ thread with "lyingo" like 2 weeks ago and it's still copy pasted. I'm dead

Bitch, what? Nothing will happen except you being blackballed. But talk to your fucking recruiter and emphasize wanting a different contract. Sometimes other people even drop out of dep and you can take their ship date/contract.

Maxing pt scores is a good start. Honestly if you're not confident in your physicality, you should really work on it sooner rather than later. Boot camp is much more stressful when you don't know if you can last for that 30 minute IT that you got over bullshit that wasn't your fault. Outside of that, being able to consistently perform well during tests throughout your career eliminates an unnecessary stressor.

Hate my job and want to kill some brown people

What are the odds that boots end up on Iranian soil?

Iran shot something down recently so maybe

Semi-bumping your question. Don't go from point a to b to c when you could go from point a to c easily. Don't enlist first.

Wait and see, but also, start the enlistment process now. Go high speed, and you won't have to wait and see.

Doubtful - maybe a 15% chance. 20% at best.

If I enlist I want to be killing foreigners the entire duration of my enlistment, it would blue ball me hard as fuck to enlist and the Iran war is over in 3 weeks.

I have a feeling Iran will get a lot more bombing than it will get door knocking.

>Don't enlist first
Is it reasonable to assume that talking to a recruiter won't get me honest answers since they just want to fill their quota, or is the Coast Guard better about this?
I just remember in high school the Navy and Marines recruiters were relentless.

First response decides what job I enlist as.

Getting ready for Air Force OTS

What happens if you omit non-disqualifying information during the application process in the interest of making deadline and it’s later discovered you omitted said non-disqualifying information?

I omitted a tympanoplasty (fixing my eardrum) from my medical history because I don’t have access to the medical records which are required when reporting any surgeries beyond wisdom teeth and tonsil removals.

From what I know this isn’t a disqualifying surgery right? But what about omitting the surgery from the history?

Could omitting it DQ me? If doctors notice that the eardrum was repaired but I didn’t report it would I be reprimanded and kicked out of the process?

How big of an issue is this?

odds of war with iran?

Considering Trump is already saying the drone was a "mistake" 2.5%

Army->11b and a ranger or SFO contract
Navy->nswf/seal
Airforce->ntac

Any of those and you will deploy to combat whether or not ther is an Iran war. Global war on terror has no finish line.

Source-11b, 3rd RGR bat for 7 years. 4 trips to Afghanistan, 3 to iraq. Enough whacking and stacking to satisfy and bloodlust. Dont sign up for some Pog shit or the Marines period.

On my phone edit: SF, and Jtac

>If I enlist
you'll never enlist. you're a motherfucking underage retard.
stick to vidyagames, kiddo.

How about marine raider?

Whatever lets me get the most kills desu, who does the most killing?

Id make put on a dress before I raped you, but not lipstick. Bring your own lipstick.

Will MEPS find out about my rectal prolapse

Yes

That depends, was it the meps doctor that did it?

Dont waste your time and effort with the Corp. SOCOM or bust tier2 and up

Why not?

Just tell me who takes the most lives within 400 yards okay

I already did you autist, for fuck sakes you are to dumb to serve for real

Who handles the cost of funerals? Do you need to buy life insurance so if your family is not able to afford a funeral, insurance company will? Or does the Gov pay for it?
Also, caskets... does your family pay for it?

Attached: 1529546998009.jpg (400x320, 22K)

Don't forget drone pilots, they kill more than entire platoons combined anymore.

You actually didn't though, look bro, if you are too much of a larper to actually answer my question that's fine I don't care I'll find a way to spill blood you little faggot

Military. Military gives you $400,000 maximums for life insurance if you die in duty. Military gives you a box.

Yeah but it's only fun if you get to see their heads explode and hear them in their native tongue beg for life

Based, but I like air conditioning with my violence

Then your children will be weak because muh epigenetics

By my estimation takes 3 generations of easy life to create a faggot, living a hard life to start your family back at 0 is a good idea

FUCK PEACE TIME
FUCK DEMOCRATS
FUCK JANNIES

Batshit crazy can inhabit close-match. Ask me how I know. Also, promiscurity? KYS. Otherwise, you have to go back.

My waivers were denied from the airforce. Is is still possible to apply to other branches?

Taking Navy OCS and student naval aviator questions for an hour

are you based and or epic, sir?

Neither. I’m just a man.

>If I enlist I want to be killing foreigners the entire duration of my enlistment

Or what? What the fuck are you going to do about it when you join up and spend 4 years mopping tile floors with the rest of the retards that went infantry?

You are right though about the bombing, modern warfare is waged from the air and through special operations forces. You either need a college degree and a commission, or the body of an athlete and willpower stronger than a boulder. If you have neither, then you will play a supporting role while the big boys and smart boys do all of the killing. You're better off working a regular job and paying your taxes to pay for jet fuel and ammo, civilian.

Currently working on losing weight for AF enlistment. This is a dumb question but, I can still take the ASVAB even If Im not ready to go yet, correct? Cause I dont want to saunter into the recruiting office and seem like I expect to just go instantly. I still have problems I need to fix before I go.

How long was your recruiting duty, and what's the average you're seeing for other SNA's?
What's your typical day like outside of classroom sessions and flight training? Any genuine leadership roles during duty days or do you just babysit?
Is living on base really that unpopular?
Any word on what platforms are offering more seats?
How bad are the delays between Indoc and Primary and Advanced?

>t. NFO select

Nothing happens until the next election and that’s a fact nigger.

people like to make these without referencing previous editions and in this case even applying an edition.
what im saying is. they're pretty shit and i think this is the only place on 4channel.com that they've ever been.

how about you fuck off? that isn't even how raiders work, you're not gonna sign some papers to be a raider. they're not consisted of boots

I laughed 10/10

if you die in the line of duty (so even training and shit) then the feds cover it all. worst case, you die in some coked out splurge in san diego there are orgs that will cover the cost of any vet's funeral.
here's a consideration tho.
dont die.

yes you can go talk to other branches.
talk to whoever but for future reference the army is typically the most lenient on waivers and makes the most exceptions by far.

Yeah I hold no delusions in this regard all I have to offer is extreme aggression, a very high ASVAB score and unlimited physical ability. Besides that, I'm just a fuckhead from Kentucky. Unlike most of you pussies, military isn't a need for me, my heart won't fucking be broken if what I want isn't there. I have a great life and I'm very successful, I however never pass up a chance to kill legally. Fuck your highschool ass.

100% chance to suck my dick

you can take the asvab whenever you want. iirc the scores are valid for 2 years. ask the asvab test administrator or recruiter how long the scores are good for.
recruiters typically don't mind people who more/less keep in touch with the intent to join as long as they're improving. they'll try to snag you but if you want to work on stuff that's all you.
though AF recruiters are the most finicky of them all so mileage may vary.

Why are Coast Guard members the happiest people on earth? Literally everyone of them I meet are having the time of their lives on earth.

All the anal sex

>fuck your highschool ass

lmao okay civilian. You'd be a good fit for junior enlisted in the Corps, plenty of other guys just like you who think killing is cool and you want to murder people. I will warn you, however, that you won't actually get to kill anyone and you'll finish your contract with so much bottled rage that you'll probably end up killing yourself, to nobody's surprise or disappointment. Go keep living that supposedly successful life and pay those taxes, civilian.

Is there anything similar to SERE in the army?

Attached: cri4.jpg (500x500, 41K)

not sure. only met a few coasties but i never see them doing bullshit pt, those who stay in seem to want to stay in, not forced due to finances and shit...
so probably they're treated like adults and therefore act like adults or get out? that's always been my guess.
for HS grads it's typically not seen as all that cool to join the coast guard either so they probably get less gung ho "I WANNA GO SHOOT BAD GUYS!#@!" and nerds who want to be elite snipers and more just people who want to serve.
whatever it is, it does seem to work and i have never had a bad experience with coasties.

>How long was your recruiting duty, and what's the average you're seeing for other SNA's?
3 months OHARP, same for others. SNFOs didn’t have any.
>What's your typical day like outside of classroom sessions and flight training?
Studying and reviewing procedures, systems, course rules, EPs/Ops Limits, practice sims, and chair flying at home. I do that until dinner and then refresh for tomorrow.

Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning is my “day” off. But that’s just me. I genuinely enjoy what I do.
>Any genuine leadership roles during duty days or do you just babysit?
No leadership roles at all and duty days are only watches.
>Is living on base really that unpopular?
Nobody does it except for international students during API.
>Any word on what platforms are offering more seats?
There’s no way to predict with accuracy, but Jets are hurting for students because of reasons from last year and the Navy just ordered a bunch of P8s.
>How bad are the delays between Indoc and Primary and Advanced?
SNFOs don’t seem to have nearly the wait we do. My SNFO pals from OCS have already selected their pipelines.

the army has an mos for everything. im not familiar with them but they have shit all over.
every branch has SERE training they conduct for their guys so I'm sure it's a thing. check the wiki page for army mos's and see what you can dig up then research that mos independently

Yeah, I get it, even with a new war it's still probably not worth it.

Joining would be a 140% downgrade in pay fyi, that's what I'm willing to sacrifice to murder some browns. But whatever. Iran isn't a good enough chance, and I know it, just wishful thinking.

Do you think by serving in the Coast Guard I'd do more for my country than someone who is in the Army or Air Force?

I remember talking to a CG recruiter and the dude tells me "We just don't do that stupid military stuff man, like we do our jobs and just have a good time."

I understand 11x life is awful, but is it really that bad for a 3 year contract with airborne? That’s only about 2.5 years after training.

i think every branch offers genuine service opportunities where you do good things for the country.
you can paint a lot of it as doing your part starship troopers style.
im not familiar with the coast guard so don't want to say anything concrete because I've only dealt with a handful, ever. i'd say consider what you may want to do post-service and if the coast guard can help add on to your resume for that then keep them in mind.

Why the fuck do you even care that it's awful you fucking homosexual

have you ever heard someone say "it wasn't bad because at least i was airborne?"
lol

SERE is cool but I'm an eagle scout and wildland firefighter/EMT as well as experienced survivalist so what could I possibly learn

Thank you. I appreciate the information.
Ill try to go take my ASVAB this weekend.

If you score below 95 just kys

Thank you for answering all of those questions! I hope all is going well for you and you end up getting to fly what you want!

I’m just wondering if being a peacetime infantry janitor is as awful as people say, because it honestly sounds like a step up from doing 12 hour water restoration jobs while my hopes of going to college fade.

Being tortured, how to hide your tracks, fuck with the enemy, and how to survive in places I guarantee you're not trained in like in the middle of the ocean, in the arctic, etc.

Yea you’re welcome man, thanks! What do you want to fly in?

To be honest, I did that shit as a child with my friends for fun, some of us grew up in the woods broski

The P8 actually looks pretty neat, so I'm stoked that you indicated they'll be an open option. I applied for both SNA and NFO with the intention of flying helos, but since NFOs won't be anywhere near one, maritime seems like the next best choice.

How about yourself?

In your opinion, what would you say the chances are of a 28 year old prior enlisted becoming a naval aviator?

P8s sound like a great gig for NFOs and Naval Aviators alike, especially if you want to be part of a big crew. They’re highly popular right now. I want to fly jets.

>28 year old prior
You need to commission by 27 years old without an age waiver but being a prior you’d probably get one. How’s your eyesight? You’d need to ask an officer recruiter for better info.

So did I, but it's not exactly the same thing to fuck around as teens chucking rocks at eachother and hiding in the brush and to have professional militaries conduct exercises to try and find you, forcing you to hide your every track else they torture you with waterboarding, sleep deprivation, etc.

maybe your current situation is just shittier? that doesn't mean go be a grunt, you can join and do anything. not sure why grunt is the only thing on your mind as a "way out".
at least with military service after 3 years of active duty you have the post 9/11 gi bill to get you through school.
so if school is important, consider it.

It's actually not that hard, cmon. In Kentucky we would constantly be shot at by property owners, and be chased by cops and fish&game and here I am with no wounds and no criminal record, huge chance majority of them had the very training were talking about, even beat a heliocopter a few times

>torture you with waterboard
ask me how i know you're talking out your ass about SERE anything.

It sounds like you've got a good chance of doing it, those Super Hornets seem pretty cool, but hopefully a 35 seat opens up for you!

Mow this one lawn and make the same wage as a soldier!

Mow two lawns and its like you're a captain!

Mow three and you're a general!

Has anyone seen this movie? Is it any good?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unfaithful_(2002_film)

You're right, they stopped it in 2007. My mistake.

Okay, here. The army is offering a 40k enlistment bonus for 35P, with an extra 15k if you're able to ship out within 30 days. Is 35P shitty? I've always wanted to learn a language and I have a high enough asvab scores. I don't imagine the needed physical profile is too high, either, so my waivers even if they lower it shouldn't interfere.

Any of these rates worth looking into?
I know I'm a brainlet help me out boat boys.

Attached: SmartSelect_20190620-015811_Gallery.jpg (824x977, 373K)

I did boot camp for criminals for 6 months on ft.knox at age 16 and had to fight gang bangers with life sentences every day to stay alive

100% chance that im harder than anybody not going high speed

Shut the fuck up kyle, summer school in some podunk town isnt the same thing as juvie.

Bitch did you hear me? Go high speed and you will be in combat regardless. Probably.

Yes, that is reasonable. Talk to an officer recruiter.

When I was in they used to black bag them to Jordan or so where else for the messy stuff.

Loadmaster Air Force
Or
TACP Air Force. Thank me later.

Ill add you to the screencap if needed.

But why isnt high speed marines the same as the others
