Current production ptr's are somewhere around 10,000 rounds granted you're not running it full auto. Heat greatly increases wear on barrels not just slow fire bench shooting. Also for how many rounds of .308 it'd take (like 5k worth of ammo) to wear out the barrel, I think if you can afford to kill the barrel then you can afford any necessary replacements.

6.5 is a barrel burner he kind of has a point cause a br has to have longevity and make it through a war while alternating between both select fire and semi auto fire. 6.5 kill barrels in 2000 rounds or less. Imagine that shit on full auto, your barrel would be toast in like 800 rounds. Not battle worthy.

Look for type 2 recievers for dick waving.
18" is the sweet spot
DSA Rails are ugly but the best way to mount a scope. They make direct mount ACOG ones too, also works w regular mounts. If you're going that route just get a FAL w o a rail cuz they're cheaper.
Check for bipod cut barrel if you want to use one.
Fixed rear sights are skookum but autists will bully you

I’m honestly surprised that CZ has been pretty quiet about the Bren 2. There’s definitely a strong interest in the rifle platform and there’s a potentially strong market for it that will exceed the FN SCAR platform.

Scar is probably just a tad more accurate and a little less heavy but otherwise just an upgraded BR.
Definitely not worth 3-4k for those slight edges over the other firearms
