Zipgun

Any advice on building a zip gun?

Buy a lathe and make a proper gun

Don't.

OP here, I'm not going to use it for self defence just to shot tin cans

there is no reason for a citizen to own that

why not make an 80% glock? do you have access to ammo?

Yeah i can buy some ammo

build a small workshop factory and build better guns, idiot

then if you can scrape some rifling into the break line you can legally make one of these in most of the non-shitty us states.

Faggot

Pick up a copy of TM 31-210: US Army improvised munitions manual.
It has instructions on how to make dead simple firearms.
Also consider the "four winds" shotgun.

Note: If you live in the US you should just buy a cheap (used) barrel off Ebay instead of using a hardware store pipe.

Naw but if you wanna know about big bore air rifles I can help you out

Shit, you can buy brand new barrel blanks for cheap, reamers and dies are cheap too

Daily reminder that rifling buttons ca.m. be had for $30~ on ebay

It's .30 cal and can probably put out around 130 fpe, but I'm still testing it. It's made mostly from parts I ordered online for other airguns. I can come up with a list if you'd like, but the 7 round .30 cal magazines are no longer available. I'm thinking about 3D printing them myself. Anyway it's mostly Benjamin Discovery parts. The air bottle adapter is from a QB79 and it's been modified to hold 3,000 psi. The air bottle has a modified regulator to provide 2,200 psi to the gun. The barrel shroud has an integral suppressor. The stock is custom as is the adapter to attach it to the bottom of the grip using a lynch pin. Look into the 2240/discovery/marauder modding community, those airguns are like the AR15 of airguns, tons of custom builds and lots of aftermarket parts.

Basically I got a custom breech that for the Discovery tube from bnmcustom.com, that fits barrels from the Marauder. I got a .30 cal Marauder barrel from mountainaircustomairguns.com. I got a high flow valve from magnumairpower.com. Grips and various parts are from alliancehobby.com. A few parts from needfulthings-2019 on ebay.

I'm working on building a pic related based on available parts like these instead of custom machined parts. Full auto

First prototype will be laid out kinda weird for easy of manufacturing. Should allow me to play with it and get it cycling though.

This is going to be epic once done. Doing us proud.
My idea for legal full auto fun is a diy dread cannon IE centrifuge gun. Picrelated.
Slingshot channel did a segment on it and got me thinking. The rc truck world has a wide rage of ridiculously torqued up gear boxes for brushless motors that fit in your hand. Once again picrelated just beefed up to a buckler shield size. Or maybe just a 36-48 volt angle grinder. Thinking marbles will do as a cheap large caliber round. At 7-800 rpm the ammo needs to be cheap. Figure a semiflexible hose for a pressurised ammo hopper for a backpack magazine much like a fire extinguisher for high speed feed. Done right it gyro stabilizes itself, has no recoil and the spin of the wheel throws backspin on the projectiles for a hopup effect increasing range and accuracy.

Thanks for the support, glad there is interest. You're idea is great too, I've seen those online before and they're nuts. Even saw a hand cranked one that shot through plywood

Bump

Unironically this but only because you should have something better

ATF is that you ?

reported

No, Special Agent.

If you guys are interested purchasing premade Big Bore rifles, I have a buddy that makes them professionally. Pretty sure he's sold one to Ted Nugent.

use 3/8" dia or 2" diameter pipe
