I think Pakistan is better at diplomacy than india too. They still have major non-nato ally status with the US and the West, are cool with China and maybe even Russia, and have a ton of rich Sunni Muslim countries on their side too. Also they have okay relations with the commonwealth.

there are some credible allegations that ISI operatives not only train and assist al-qaeda, but will often times coordinate and conduct operations with them... really depends on your views of al-qaeda and the americans in determining whether ISI are assholes or righteous folk.
