Can you tell me how you went about contacting the DOJ and how you got them to fix your shit?

On the website it had a form for a live scan paid 40 bucks to send my finger prints. Got a letter about 4 months later showing my charges. I contacted the DA where I was arrested. Got a copy of the email and the release papers stating no conviction just charges. Sent all of that with a letter telling the DOJ I am a law abiding person. And they are wrong. I would get a letter back saying they were doing an "investigation" So I sent them a letter containing all the info everyday till I got an amended letter back. In total it took 10 months but didn't stop me from buying guns.

Thank you, I was meticulous about keeping all my court records so if I have any issues I will probably do the same as you.

I recently bought a fun this way in FL and was vehemently told by the LGS that the waiting period begins when you fill out the 4473. I had read online that it should start when you order and tried to plead my case with them but ended up having to come in, fill out the 4473, and then wait a full calendar week. May just be this shop though, it's a boomer shop in Tallahassee.
