What’s the best rifle for boar eradication? Thinking about a model c or ptr, just a battle rifle in general
Remove oink

Lever action in .357
AR15 with 40 round magazine.
.300 BLK
im not a boomer boomer but .30-06 works great one stop shot. 308, 270, etc all would work well
5.56 is perfectly fine for oink removal, and has the advantage of capacity should you come across a large group of the fuckers. An AR-15 would do the job perfectly
If you want something a bit bigger, it's hard to go wrong with a basic-bitch AR-10. PTRs and the like are cool and all, but the modular design of the AR platform is hard to beat
I was bitten by a boar
I was gouged and I was gored
But I pulled on through
Most hog cullers use 223. It’s perfectly suitable
I use a Tikka T3 in .308.
Works realy good.
Anyone that uses anything larger than an intermediate cartridge (5.56/7.62x39/5.45x39) is delusional as to what they are hunting and trying to convince themselves it's big game. Just enjoy hog hunting for what it is people.
5.56 is fine, you can take them out with .17hmr with good shot placement. Like right behind the ear if I remember
8x57 bolt action. I won't lug around a 14lbs rifle for something which I can get done with a rifle half the weight.
Real nato
>mine nigga
Get a DSA FAL.
Thread theme youtu.be
45-70
308
I use a 308, a tip for hunting is also mix tar with syrup and cover the trees with it, the hogs will come a running
An AR.
Ar15 does just fine
.300 Swinechester Magnum
Lol pig tiddies
If it's full on eradication your after trapping is your best bet
For a proper boar hunt, you need a proper rifle.
This, but .44 mag
This and a .22
Can catch over a dozen boar.
m.youtube.com
They've been known to catch up to 30 piggies at once.
pretty cool.
What rifle do you think people actually use that weighs 14 lbs, fudd?
This.
300 wm is the patrician choice.
Unless you don’t manage to catch all of them and it forms another herd. We had a couple of escapees on our trap and the third attempt it failed cause the hogs remembered. Then we had to move the trap and start putting camouflage around it.
This but in 30-30
Lmao no, that shit barely tickles piggies
just because they have retard strength doesn't mean they don't die when you hit something vital.
foster slugs
Shut up, retard.
Fucking spam filter
Why the piglet? Barely any meat
Remington and Winchester both sell .223 rounds specifically for hogs.
Great option
I’d say an ar-15 in .300 memeout or 458 Somali remover
remove oink
Fucking Germans needs some training with the 1st (FIRST) Gatling the got in the year 2019 !
youtube.com
M193 out of a 20" 1:12 kills them dead.
.458 socom, especially in cucked states.
This but in .45-70
Almost anything removes pink so just use whatever you'll have the most fun with
So they don’t grow up to create more of their kind.
I use my C308 for hogs, does the job very well though I haven't tried using g an AR so I'm not sure if it's that much better. Personally I stick to 308 for most things because I hate having to shoot twice or wait for the target to bleed out
>Take medium size remote control drone
>mount a gun on it set to aim at the center of the camera, maybe put a laser on it for easier aim
>fly to where pigs hang out
>blast them with your 100% legal flying murderbot
I'm sure the ATF would be fine with this.
AR, preferably in something slightly thicker than 22, like 6.5G or 300.
308 is ideal, but will be more expensive for similar quality.
>Thunkthunkthunkthunk
>*sqeeeeeeeellllllllll*
>Thunkthunkthinkthunk
They start breeding at five months.
JORDÃO
A loaded PTR with a few accessories can easily hit 14lbs. A loaded, scoped FAL still comes in at around 13lbs.
Now I love both of those rifles, both for their history and for how fun they are to shoot. But I'll confine my cold war LARPing to the range for now.
A lighter rifle allows me to hunt longer, smarter and harder, literally the essence of "high speed low drag".
I think there are some fudds in /msg/ right now that you can go annoy.
Pic related. All taken with .308, and all but one with single shots.
The bottom one needed a follow-up shot as the first one was a little low. Took out the far foreleg and most of the throat. Second shot right through the heart.
.308 is excellent pig medicine.
This, but in .577 Tyrannosaur
Elaborate on the tar and syrup, please. I've got a hog problem, but those fuckers are elusive.
FUCK, I want one of these so badly. I don't even hunt or shoot rifles very often, but I need one of these.
Personally I'd go with a .45-70 lever action. That's just my preference for medium to large game in general. Slow moving so there's less meat damage. No sense in wasting meat if you don't have to.
The other option is either a 12 or 20 gauge with slugs.
tripod mounted minigun with the electic motor replaced by a hand-cranked camshaft.
this but in .22
I'm planning to use my AR308 with 168 Zmax... If the ATF would get off their ass, I would use my 300blk... I figured as long as it's going to be loud I may as well throw some big lead...
DI AR-15 chambered in 9x25 Dillon shooting 65gr Lehigh Xtreme Defenders 3kfps
you want to remove oink with extreme prejudice? anything in .50BMG
otherwise i'd say 7.62x39 or anything more powerful
other than california, what cucked state has oink?
REMOVE
OINK
Correct
Second for 458 Socom
It’s like a rapid fire 12ga slug with better BC
Honestly I don’t think there is much in can’t remove
What specific areas of Texas have the most hogs?
I appreciate your post, stones bro
45-70. .308. 30-30. 35 remington. any decent full-power cartridge will drop a squealnigger like a stone, and brush guns are great for, of course, hunting in heavy brush.
Not OP but That's what I use
This but a different type of a gun and a different caliber
Boar and oinks aren't killed for their meat, user. They're like humans, scum of the earth that need to be erradicated because of what they do to the natural environment.
>killing piglets
Degenerate
South Texas (orange beanland)
literally all of it. i've shot the cunts in east texas, i've shot them an hour outside of dallas, i've shot them near lubbock, and i've shot them inland less than a mile from the coastline.
5.56 in anything over 55gr. Bonded and MSR stuff by fusion works well with hogs, my experience. Anything outside of FMJ for x39 also works really well.
Hahahahahaha
Until I see someone chrono this I’m quite skeptical. Smaller caliber bottlenecks are for velocity, so using a fatter less bottlenecked cartridge with less case capacity shouldn’t give you a higher velocity. Especially since it’s a lower pressure
It’s absolutely justified when it comes to killing oink
Not very sporting
AR-10 w/ a binary trigger, suppressor, and NVG's. Pigs around here are so fucking dumb we can get about 20 yards away from them at night in an electric golf cart, with a can on you can yeet them into hell, also I'd recommend a 50 round mag.
If you want to be sporting, just use any old bolt gun really.
Hog's pretty good eating if you can find the carcase before the heat and the bugs get to it, just once the pig gets bigger than 120 pounds I'd make it into sausage.
>But I pulled on through
Cheers to that
77 grain chews them up pretty well.
I don't know about US but those fuckers are vermin in Europe. Killing them is pest control.
>sporting
they are an invasive species
They are epidemic in Texas. There are counties that will pay you for turning in hog tails. They do a shitload of agricultural damage and cause car accidents regularly in rural areas.
Neither is killing rats. Same thing
Yeah, it's easy to forget that hogs are intelligent and can definitely remember a trap they have evaded before.
I'm a cold Italian pizza
I could use a lemon squeezer
What you do?
>lug around
Weak bitch boomer confirmed. Also what is this 14lb rifle you speak of
He must be thinking a BAR or something.
Have a cousin that goes hunting oinks on the weekends, they pay you for each one and they skin/chop them for you for free.
i wanna go hunt dem dere piggies, but I live in socal
