ARG/ AR thread/ tripfag containment

they're called traps, and they're far superior than just regular "girls". In fact, girls don't even do anything for me anymore. The concept of overpowering a failed male with your superior masculinity is far more appealing than just the same old T and A. Sorry. I don't expect you to understand, but I googled it and I found that it's only 2.19% gay. It's practically completely straight.

A1, A2 stock, Magpul STR, or BCM? Or part out upper and do an 11.5 pistol?

Attached: IMG_20190521_1534143.jpg (4032x3024, 3.28M)

you cant fix garbage, throw it away.

Comfiest collapsible. Or Tailhook brace, keep the upper, and build a new pistol upper.

A1 is a better lop than a2

I havent owned an A1 yet but the A2's Ive had were pretty comfy.

What's wrong with sopmod? Comfiest I've found for a collapsible.

Then do it, but a1 is probably closer to where your adjustable stock is.

>a1 is probably closer to where your adjustable stock is
I have the stock all the way out when I shoot.

that doesn't make sense

Just because your bag of shit was expensive, doesnt make it taste better.

Any recommendations for a bipod for my new raifu? Was looking at an Atlas but thought I'd ask you guys first

Atlas and Harris are the top choices. Atlas is pricey af though.

I dig the Frankenstein look desu

Well fellas?

Attached: 20190627_162302.jpg (4032x3024, 3.68M)

I've tried Atlas and Harris and I just have a preference for the latter.. especially the notched swivel models, they just feel easier to use with less fiddling and adjustment. That said, for a bench rifle I'd have no issue running an Atlas or Magpul.

Do posties follow the same rules as trusts do, or do they have to be stored on site at the SOT?

Are those zipguns/welrods made out of caulking guns..?

magpul has a new one that is YUM

No officer

Attached: something's fucky.png (500x676, 421K)

I like that look desu. The different colors go well together, make it something like youd see in borderlands.

Just regular caulking guns sir

Follow up question. I want to mount the bipod to my bayonet lug. And recommended setup?

I'm not even ATFposting I'm just.. surprised there's anyone on /arg/ that can put something like that together.

Any item logged into FFL books can be utilized by employees/responsible individuals. However if an audit is conducted everything must be on site clearly.

Attached: That30YearOldOperator.jpg (2640x2616, 2.07M)

Any particular reason why?
It can be done with a picatinny rail adapter that fits on the lug but I wouldn't recommend it when there are so many good QD options out there for picatinny/mlok/keymod..

Nice info. So responsible persons have to risk it if they want to keep stuff in their own personal safes and just hope they won't get audited?

I have a rifle with a FSB and rail is only around 9". The closer the bipod is to the muzzle the better it is for accuracy.

>So responsible persons have to risk it if they want to keep stuff in their own personal safes and just hope they won't get audited?
There is no risk assuming you can return the item before the audit occurs or otherwise explain why it is not there, i.e at a tradeshow or being demoed for a customer on other side of country.

Audits come in two types
1) Regular audit where they call ahead and give you advanced notice they will be coming by during your business hours - Just bring the MG back to the shop
2) Search Warrant - You probably have larger issues.
I mean you could always mark your house as a second location and pay for an additional SOT but once you have a fistfull of MGs you generally will just keep one on you and the rest at your place of business.

>wdhmbt
An example of what not to do since you are unlikely to drop everything you're doing and fly an MG back to Arizona with short notice.
I dont want the G rail and the thing would be incorrect for an A5 variant without scrapping 90% of the parts. If anything id consider a early remington defense rail.

good info
glad you are posting again

Personally I still prefer the SCAR over it but the 416 has its upsides. If I was doing it all over again im not sure if I would buy the 416 again.

I still need to throw a scout light and some BUIS on the thing. Leaning towards some MP7 irons and whatever 600 series I find a steal on.
Really if you call the ATF they will answer questions. They would rather you do it correctly and they not have to come duke it out with you in a court of law/firefight

Can you get a post-scar 16? How much did that 416 cost?

you can get a post anything. personally i'd go for a post sample bump stock

You shouldn't have dug that out of someone's can

Is PA really shit tier? I kind of want an Accupoint 1-6x, but I really like the ACSS reticle.

Eh, technically that's not right, it's more about it creating a more stable platform for the shooter.. unless you have a real precision rig I wouldn't worry about it too much and go with a more traditional rail mount. If it makes you feel any better the G28 bipod is mounted about the middle of the rail.

COlors look like borderlands. I like

Ima pay you $100 to throw that shit out.

alright, I take bitcoin.

I only have pornhub gift cards.

Would it be stupid to offset a red dot with a LPVO?

Kinda, what LPVO?

If the LP is 3x or below, yes.

USO TS-6X

Switching to your sidearm is always faster than reloading.
But no, RMRs are light and rugged. They make a great back up sight.

416 pros

416 cons

>Cost
>Weight
>Balance
>Recoil impulse
>Firing pin safety

The 416 is a second rev so it has the solid gasblock and OTB modifications vs the norwegian adjustable or a5 vented block. As a result the thing is the most overgassed AR ive ever shot. With the factory buffer system it was running around 850rpm without a can and somewhere above 1000rpm (timer could not count) with a can. The thing was ejecting near 1 o'clock with or without the can because it was so overgassed. After swapping to an A5 with 10oz buffer it dropped it to 715rpm without a can and right around 1000rpm with a can. Ejection is now solidly between 3:00 and 3:30 depending on ammo and suppressor config. The pro of nearly 1000rpm cyclic is that with good trigger control you can basically tap short bursts on the thing which is pretty useful up close. The thing is still capable of outrunning magazine springs in most shitty mags which is fun to watch.

The weight/balance is wonky compared to traditional ARs and my SCAR because of the quad and m4-2000 on the nose. This is obviously a con when it comes to pointing the gun from a low/high ready but when you clack the thing to auto all of that nose weight drives the muzzle down. The resulting recoil impulse is very linear and basically makes it vibrate in your hands like you are using an angle grinder.

Ive got a replacement CHFCL barrel being made for the thing right now and will likely install a vented block on the thing and swap off to it when I get bored of the 715/1000rpm.
>Can you get a post-scar 16?
Ive mulled it but the scar is personally on my trust and my nightstand gun so Id probably do a second 16 for that. But that is unlikely since FN Belgium cut off all scar imports and is now having FN USA make all the SCARs domestically. Right now they are only making 17s so there is a big glut in the 16s market.

I do actually.

Attached: 20190612_190411.jpg (3406x1960, 3.66M)

It just seems intuitive. If the bipod is closer to the magwell then any adjustments made in your aim will cause the barrel to swing more, so it would be a little harder to make finer adjustments in your aim. The closer to the muzzle the bipod is then the easier it'll be to make finer adjustments. I know this is more important on precision rifles but I don't know if it would be better to have the bipod a little closer to the muzzle or if the weight being more forward would be more of a pain in the ass or if the bipod hanging on the FSB and the weapon sitting on it while the bipod is deployed will fuck up the point of impact at all.

>This kills the LMT

And because char limit
>How much did that 416 cost?
Its not my most expensive rifle but it is not worth the price it commands when compare to contemporaries.

My original assessment of the 416 prior to owning it was that the rifle is functionally fine and a good idea if your department/agency SOP does not allow builds but it is inferior to something like a customized scar, sr15 or a properly built AR.

scaranon we all hate you

What is that?

I would say for the average user, especially using a LPVO with a true 1x, a offset red dot is unnecessary. Not saying it won't work but unless you're doing competition shooting where you're switching between near and far targets and you want to shave a few seconds off your transition by rolling your gun instead of spinning your ring..
It all depends on your usage. Then again, if that's what you want to do and you have the money to do it, don't let anyone tell you not to, it's your gun, set it up how you want.

>Seething

looks like KAC gas system. They seal it basically like you would a brake line.

It’s as unnecessary as these Buis that everyone will shit on you for not having. If you get quality optics you won’t ever need them unless an act of god occurs.

But as far as usefulness, it works. Plenty of guys do it in the wild.

How do you like that handguard and scope?

Why does it "kill the LMT"?

If you, your gun, and your ammo can regularly shoot sub moa then it becomes a real consideration.. even then if you use an atlas/magpul style bipod you can set the legs at the forward angle and have your contact points be closer to the end of the barrel as well as being solidly connected to your rifle.
My point is, if the only companies making bipod-to-bayonet adapters are ones you've never heard of or are literally NCStar, it's certainly doable buy probably not the best option.

Idk, not the retard who posted it, just answering what it was.

Here's a picture of it broken down off google.
