Why don't American firearms manufacturers manufacture their products in China or Mexico like almost everyone else? Heck, with Mexico, you can manufacture products there and then ship them across the border into the US with zero tariffs; and that's on top of the cheaper labor.

Businesses are in business to make money. Their decisions are based on how to make money. Apparently the people running these businesses know more about making money than OP.

People who are happy, healthy, and appreciated at their workplace unironically produce a better good than those who aren't.

Do you not know how the fuck international arms trade works?

There is a reason euro gun manufacturers have factories in the US.

Ban on most firearms imports from China due to the Norinco scandal, plus total firearm import sanctions from W's term due to Iran trade

There is a reason people like OP will work for other people their entire lives

because you are retarded and have less of an idea of how manufacturing, assembly, and shipping works than an elementary school student

Sig offers firearms and parts made in India.

Is that the reason why their buying 716s?

That's not legal in the US. It's the reason you cant get something like a g36 here

They do
Aguila ammo and mossberg shotguns are made
Though aguila is a mexican brand

There are laws against importing chinese guns to america and probably laws in mexico against manufacturing certain guns

jej, seriously

Whats the point? Why not do it all here in the states?
This

>tfw local gunshops sell ammo marked up to 2x normal retail
>most normie don’t or can’t buy bulk online
>could buy up a shitload of components and reload for 1/2 the cost of retail ammo
>could sell it at just 50% over the retail and still make a shitload

Of course things like liability come into question at that point.

Some Remington UMC ammo is made in Mexico. Aguila is made in Mexico, probably one of the better brands for .380 Ammo imo.

Because those places have absurdly poor QC, which is why they're cheap.

you'd be amazed how many suppressor/rails/barrel manufacturers make shit in china and then finish them off/assemble them in the US.

I'd wager that 70% of "Made in the USA" stickers are nothing more than lies. they slap them on products that are even 90% made in China.

Some are more honest and say "Assembled in the US from foreign and domestic parts".

100% made in the US products are mostly from 1-10 person shops.... since they can't manage the complexities of import and offshore manufacturing.

anyway, I work for an outsourcing firm. I've seen some shit.

A lot times it just means that the final assembly was done here. Most or all of the parts were made by chink slaves.

This all of your (((American))) trucks are actually Chinese and Korean
>T. Work for Mando

gay ass protectionism through lobbying.
hopefully with automation, all the overpaid factory workers

>Whats the point? Why not do it all here in the states?
American labor is expensive, Mexican and Chinese labor are cheaper

Their QC is obviously good enough for most manufacturers, and the majority of consumers; most of the stuff made today that isn't food is made in China
