This this is true. However, it does not change the fact the Obama administrations approach to the Middle East was dumb and arrogant. We have little idea about who is who, contacts looking for gibs, and gullible cia agents thinking people in that region of the world play by the same rules as Latin America.
So, now we have a bunch of American equipment and in the hands of people who want nothing less but to dick us over in any possible way, while trying to pull a Libya. It makes zero sense in hindsight and made zero sense then as well.

It makes sense given one thing, after Obama assassinated Osama he became extremely arrogant, in the environment of the “arab spring” Obama legitimately convinced himself that Al Qaeda was truly defeated and that the days of radical islam were over. When he armed the syrian rebels willy nilly he legitimately thought that the Islamic State of Iraq was defeated. And i quote:
