If you could never have a semi-automatic rifle again, what would your main rifle be?
Lets say the Jow Forumsube himself magic awayed semi-automatics and any attempt to make one just turns into dust, so you have quite literally no choice, not even an illegal one.

Straight pull bolt action.
TBQH probably a lever action or pump action .357 for defensive/close range hunting use. Shares ammo with a non semi auto sidearm, capable of taking any game inside of 200yds with proper ammo in my area, and likely to be a very common choice if this rule applies to everyone else as well.
Any number of the full auto only rifles available.

Winchester 70 in .308, detachable mag? iron sights and a nice piece of glass on it too. I had this setup in 30-06 and it was awesome, just want to downsize a bit because I am no longer in bear country.
