i've been thinking about getting a SLR-106F. how feasible/easy is it to put wood furniture on?

I'm also thinking about getting an SLR-106F. Is there any reason not to buy the gun for a shtf build besides the rare/expensive mags? I'd be willing to shell out the shekels for Beryl mags.

I love my 106F. It was annoying to put wood furniture on it but it was doable. The only downside is see for them is the mags but if you can get yourself a pair of the solid black circle 10 mags you're set

STANAG magwell adapters are ugly but they work and eliminate the only real downside to 5.56 AKs.

Problem with the adapter is you're gonna have a hard time finding someone to install it for you

it was a base model 6" Chiappa Rhino.

Doesn't Definitive Arms do the mag well conversions? They made one of their own that had a bolt catch and release. Did them for .308 AKs too.

I saw a Chiappa Rhino with the seam photo shopped off and it honestly looked really ugly. reminded me of one of those tranny penises that are smooth all the way up to the tip.

I think the seam looks good, kinda like how a door seam breaks up the body of a car.

A bolted on trigger guard definitely isnt favorable, let alone for a shotgun (I'll be surprised if it holds up), but anything is better than being seen with a Rhino

Dude It's just a barrel shroud, like a Suomi heat-shield or AR15 handgaurd. It has no effect on functionality and If the frame was a unibody forged piece of aluminum It'd have to cost way more than the majority of potential buyers could afford.

Honestly there's no such things as "objectively best" wood furniture. The only reason to ever put wood on a gun today is for aesthetic, and ideal aesthetics are always different depending on who you ask.

Hungarians are also great if you can find them on AKfiles for cheap.
