I know what the rifle once was, I am just trying to come to terms with how someone could not only blatantly butcher a perfectly fine rifle, but actually think they increased its value in the process. I guess bubba’d guns still get to me.

In that region(everywhere between Syria and Pakistan) old German surplus from 100+ year old trading is still the king somehow among poor civilians, to the point Kyber pass gunsmiths manufacture and refurb Mausers and STG44s and chamber other guns in 7.92 because its one of the cheapest rounds you can get.

My guess is this is an old mauser mounted on a handmade AK imitating frame with a handbuilt mag feeding 7.92 Kurz to a rechambered action. I've also seen AKs with mosin actions.

I just hate how every boltgun in fo4 and 76 is a lefty when the character is clearly right eye and hand dominant so that they need to brace the firearm to their body after every shot just to cycle the action.

IIRC if you look closely, non of the parts are actually from an AK, instead it's a bolt gun built from the ground up to look like an AK.

yes, but with no piston, as built, gas from firing will travel through the gas port, into the gas block, and down the gas tube, and directly into the shooter's face.
