Iran would ruin the US absolutely. Unlike the Iraqis, they will happily endure horrendous casualties. They sent their children to die as martyrs in the war with Iraq. Their tenacity is not to be underestimated.

Generally curious why so many people think Iran would beat or at least cause massive casualties against the US? As far as I can tell the US holds a massive advantage in the air/sea. A ground invasion would be tricky with the mountain terrain but seems unnecessary, just strike military and political installations and bail out.
