This movie was Jow Forums as fuck. Whoever the animators were, they had good taste in early 20th century firearms.
imagine being this vanilla on Jow Forums
the cockpit ovas were pretty cool
bamp
>mallets
wow i have some seriously vague memories about this
Based
The early 2000s was a truly magical time
Gunsmith Cats
Did someone say Mallets?
Is the skinny one clipping through the plane?
I wish there'd be a Jow Forums anime without some weird fantastic nonsense for once. I only know Grave of the Fireflies and that other WWII one. Anyway, Waltz with Bashir was good. Israel Lebanon War and Lebanese Civil War.
wait, there is an anime adaptation?
late 90’s bruh
Black Lagoon
The Japanese tend to be weird about historical situations. I don't mind the fantasy, but I'd like to see more plausible stuff like Jin Roh or at least fantastic Jow Forums stuff that doesn't involve random little girls.
A Ma.K. anime would be fucking perfect for this kind of thing.
based trips of truth. I felt the same way so I went back and started watching more anime from the 80s and 90s. Seinen pretty much died in the late 2000s IMO. It went from being edgy and manly shit to a bunch of prepubescent screechy girls in lewd poses with some guns thrown in, god I hate anime now
Come on dude, Gunsmith Cats gets mentioned on literally every single /ak/ thread ever, this can't be news by now.
In any case yeah, there was a three-episode OVA in the mid-90s telling an original story. It was actually pretty good.

My thoughts exactly. Saw it and thought "oh yeah I totally kind of remember watching that."
Fuck yeah
Yukikaze was sweet, even if it had a lot of sci-fi stuff. Dog fights were good, and there were tons of current day planes.

Neat. 7.5/10 would watch again.
This is about right. The Air and navy dudes were gay AF.
well that was quick
Swat Jow Forumsats were based as fuck.
Crying shame that the reboot project isn't going anywhere.
Wasnt there an old anime about the Fulda Gap?
I have completely forgotten this exists until right now.
Exo Squad had bio-weapons, geoncide, and WMDs. also some robots.

RWBY
They use weapons.
Don't @ me.
>tfw you're so rich you can afford your own private air force and navy complete with battleships.
Oh. Before i watched the attached clip i thought you were referring to Rugal Bernstein. Im angry that you weren't.
Exo Squad was my jam back in the day.
I want to ____ Felina.

Came here to post this.
Porco Rosso has a pig man, but it's grounded and very Jow Forums
kek i'm saving that
[Return the slab.]
*Distant Polka music approaching*
KND was cool as hell with all the homemade, improvised weapons.
The gun design, along with the design of everything else in the movie, was pretty well done.
>MY CAR'S LIKE A PUMA
>IT DRIVES ON ALL FOURS
You ever wonder why we're here?
Wait, did the japs actually make bombs that people flew? I always assumed they just crashed their zeros into the ships.
they loaded trainer planes with extra fuel and bombs to maximize honor gain
I don't think so, but they did make torpedoes that people drove
Team killing fucktard
Sadly it never got sequel.
idk why, but I always found the scene amusing.
I was like 6 when I first saw it. I laughed my ass off
pretty kitty
It's always funny when you consider something being described as Jow Forums
Like GI Joe is literally a show about a military unit with crazy guns and vehicles but I'd struggle to call it Jow Forums
It feels odd that Japan would glorify this in what I assume is 60s-70s style animation? Weren't they ashamed off Kamikaze attacks after WW2?
>implying Cobra isn't Jow Forums
anything Japan should be ashamed about is simply retconned out of their history books. they feel no shame. except the shame from surrendering and because they flat out avoid shame and culpability wherever they can, the one time they have to publicly face the shame of surrender it has shattered their self-image and society.
I fucking love TaleSpin
what the fuck is that betty pilot supposed to be
dirty shisno.
