Haven't heard anyone discussing the brace but I did figure after the las vegas shooting opened the door to Trump's bumpstock ban and red flag laws that it was only a matter of time before some high profile shooting happened with a pistol brace. And Trump's base are old fuds who will just go along with whatever he proposed, and because he's a "Republican" it'll be considered a political compromise in the wake of tragedy. Honestly, I have avoided pistol braces since their conception because I didn't trust the legality, even YouTubers were careful about how they filmed and edited footage with braces.
