If you get their fliers they actually have screaming deals on firearms during their big sales. 2 years ago I picked up a Savage 10T for under $400 and my uncle grabbed an M&P Shield in 9mm for $270 this Spring. They can shove their used gun prices up their ass though.

This, I work in a gun library and the new manager is a bass pro transfer. Everything used to run smoothly, but he’s going about reinventing the wheel only now the wheel has corners and is made of frozen kool aid.

Never had a bass pro shop in my town, but we have a cabelas, and far as I can tell, same difference.
I only went in there for the bargain cave and to see if there was anything interesting in the gun library. So when they got rid of the bargain cave, I stopped going unless I was selling something

I use to work at cabela's and I quit about half a year after bass pro took over. What pissed me off the most wasn't taking away gun discounts and shit, it was them changing out the fucking cabela's branded candy to something else. Muh fucking gummy bears, ruined. I couldn't deal with the shit candy so I quit. I was lucky to only have to deal with the bullshit that was trigger locks for a short while. I have buddies that still work there and it sucks for them to have to bring the guns in and out everyday because of bass pro's stupid ass policy.

I actually quit because I got a better job, but still, fuck bass pro. And I was pretty damn pissed they took away layaways. I got a ton of good deals on guns through the library discount, and for a while it even stacked with the mi discount (although I'm a first responder, they give it to me anyway, even though I'm only suppose to get it during certain weeks of the year), and I played the gift card game.

Bass Pro still haunts me at my new job since they're one of our customers and do stupid orders sometimes. They aren't really that bad as customer though. The worst one is Dicks.

They have a very wide selection of guns. Great place to finger fuck and feel and see it before I go online and order it for waaaay cheaper. Same with most gear there too.

Ever since Bass Pro finished absorbing the Cabelas in SW Ohio like The Thing I stopped going in there regularly. Ammo prices went up and they're never on sale anymore. They hardly restock reloading components and any "sale" on them just puts them at the same price as before the takeover, and is still overpriced. Then the Fresh Thyme closed across the street and now I have to go to Beavercreek to get good salt water taffy and malted milk balls. Fuck Bass Pro.

Sunglasses hut expanded like 500% at my local place. They removed a lot of home branded cabela's stuff and a ton of fixtures are on liquidation auction.
