The nugget is the official rifle of Jow Forums. It's dirt cheap, effective, anyone can afford one.
This means the official Jow Forums battlemech is the 20 ton HNT-151 Hornet. The cheapest battlemech in the whole battletech universe. It's even cheaper than an Urbanmech.
It was designed for counter insurgency, whacking terrorists and rebels on far flung planets.
It has jump jets with 150 meters jump capacity. A close range weapon (small laser), a medium range weapon (medium laser), and a long range weapon (LRM-5). It has every range covered.
Furthermore, it's not losttech and is actually in production as of 3025.
The HNT-151 Hornet is the Nugget of Battlemechs. Completely reliable and can do whatever you want it to - but also underwhelming, because it's not an AR-15 / Stalker.
