What are the best exercises for getting the duck walk down in 2 weeks? t. someone who failed MEPS

Attached: 87b9e48634c21bd105be41556e8390b9.jpg (500x450, 26K)

Duckwalk 3 times a day every day

How do you get a marine intel contract?

Be gay & have a small dick

just tell the recruiter you wanna go intel. if you qualify for it they will be happy to have you sign it since very few dudes walk into the marine office to do intel that are actually able to do it.
most dudes wanna be infantry when they first walk in

How does one run without absolutely destroying their knees?
Should I squat more often?

I’m going to the army, I really don’t want to get out with knees like a 50 year old and I only started exercising seriously about 3 months ago.

The best exercise for getting the duck walk down is to, drumroll, duck walk!

Stretching after exercise is more important than before. Wear proper running shoes fitted for your arch structure, don't over exert yourself, drink water and STRETCH. Also stay away from airborne/air assault if you love your knees that much.

Or, hurt your knees and then claim a sweet disability check when you get out

What does intel actually do?

Is military food (specifically coast guard,) healthy for you? I want to be fit and healthy.

see it depends on your mos and unit for what you do day to day.

Lmao. Healthy and military do not belong in the same sentence.

Can I get the quick rundown on NOAA? Why would someone join them instead of the Coast Guard?

Is small arms and artillery repair any good?

What do you mean by good?

he's saying he wants to do that job but wants someone else to tell him it's good before he takes the plunge.

anything I should know as someone considering USCG Boatswain's Mate?

I know it means being the bitch, and doing plenty of things other than rigging, at least

>asking Jow Forums about exercises when there's a QTDDTOT on Jow Forums where you can ask this very question
i bet you're just trolling, but in case you aren't - fuck you.

I need 3 things here - I'm considering Army

How can I avoid lifelong injuries in the marine corps?

Be a POG and don't volunteer for shit

he's asking about a duckwalk you spaz. going to Jow Forums just for that would be retarded.
>balancecareers
no clue on that specific article but I find a lot of their program-specific pages to be outdated in some regard. I never rely on them but they're good starting points.
Try to find official army sources on it; a recruiter might be able to help with that.
>What exercises do I need to know
go to Jow Forums faggot
or just look up the army's physical fitness standards.

Learn to run properly my friend. Legit, humans were built to walk and run, but modern shoes and us being fat fucks have caused most humans to forget how to run like we were bio mechanically made to run. Especially 1st worlders. There are videos and info all over the net. It feels like starting from scratch when relearning proper running form. Goodluck and it makes a world of difference.
Ran cc up to soph in college and now in the army. We run 4 days a week for pt. That's 21 years of running and my knees are still good even after the rucks and miles put on them. Good boots and running shoes matter too.

You might be unlucky, Jow Forums.
But are you broken leg on week 7 of RASP unlucky?

W-what do I do if the MEPS doctor grabs my dong?

Attached: Profuse Sweating Pepe.png (646x595, 323K)

So my air force recruiter talked me into signing my contract for open electrical. I've heard a lot of bad stuff about open contracts but I got a 90 in electrical on my asvab and I have good depth perception and im not color blind etc. Did I get screwed over or am I good?

Does the Navy do any PT outside in basic? Or is it all in Freedom Hall?

How do you even fail that? How much do you weigh?

5’8, 140lb. My problem was keeping balance while staying in a low squat. I’ve been getting slightly better with practice but I feel like I’m missing something. Tbh maybe I’m just retarded, because I didn’t eat anything before MEPS. Dunno

they literally give you a free breakfast before meps, what the fuck is your problem?

My recruiter took me straight to MEPS around 3 in the morning. I'm wondering if there's some master Oogway esque secret to the duckwalk.

aw man that's fucked up. your recruiter shoulda ran you by mcdonalds at least and paid for it himself for fucking up.
well idk any secrets, i never had problems with it. it's an awkward movement but that's about it for me.
i dont even know what it's testing.
practice can't hurt, good luck.

How accurate is this? Do they actually look through everyones' records?

They could, right? How many show up each week? 50? They could easily check everyone.

Is the stereotype of the enlisted being stupid just a meme?

How much dumber are they compared to warrants/officers/people who got out when they realized it sucked?

Attached: officer near enlisted.webm (720x300, 388K)

you missed the point of that post entirely.
the "moment of truth" is their final bluff where they play heads up seven up to scare you into submission.
pretty much everything they say is a lie because they're not actively digging through anyone's records at that point.
they don't even have access to your medical records and congratulations, if you made it that far, you got past the people who you had to lie to at MEPS.
obviously criminal records they can access but at that point they already did a cursory look...

tl;dr they dont check shit at that point. just shut up, you made it to basic.

NOAA is WAY more picky than the Coast Guard is, they have 200~ uniformed servicemen to go with their 12000 civilian staff.

enlisted are generally normal people, so yeah you get lots of retards.
you get lots of smart dudes too but by and large the shenanigans and stuff they get up to are retarded and immature.
idk how to say how much dumber people are, because you can't paint them all with one brush. if this bothers you, then don't enlist.

Officer Corps of NOAA is really small and by that, very selective. You would stand a reasonable chance of joining with a masters degree and some experience working underway. That being said, you can still work for NOAA without being a member of the Officer Corp. You can roll over from being a Prevention Officer in the CG into NOAA easier but that really isn't assured.
I can't really speak to what NOAA does, but my cutter was next to a NOAA vessel, Henry Bigelow, and it looked really comfy on their ships. Rusty as fuck and they would be out for 6ish months at a time, but those guys looked happy with what they're doing.

It's never too late, you're not officially enlisted yet. Talk to your recruiter and see about getting a specific MOS

I've never met someone I considered "college material" (as in, might have the smarts to go to grad school after the fact) when I was in that:

A.) Made it more than 4 years

B.) Wasn't a miserable piece of shit the entire time

If you're talking about bootcamp, it's not really healthy, just energy to get you through the day.
Any galley is going to have it's fat-boy pills, but for the most part you can generally eat healthy. CSs are trained to avoid butter and salt and anything with flavor. Depending if you're afloat or ashore, you're choices are also going to be alot more limited. Underway, after a couple months, your healthy options are very limited. Join the meg discord if you have anymore Coast Guard questions, there's a couple of us that can answer anything you might want to know.

Thanks user, I think i'm slowly but surely starting to get the hang of it.

Overheard a designated retard go on about how he doesn't want to be an E-6 because he felt there were too many responsibilities (its sounds like a mental cope for not making rank).

Is this a common sentiment among the lower ranks? Remaining in an even lower rank with lower pay just to avoid a mild/perceived increase in workload? Its not like this is a jump to Colonel.

Attached: retard restraints.gif (200x232, 881K)

If you're interested in being a BM, request a small boat station or a cutter out of bootcamp. The work is a lot more knuckle-headed than other rates for sure, but there's nothing wrong with being a BM. You will do the bitch work, but you'll do more bitch work as a non-rate, so you'll appreciate your position more. Expect sanding and painting, making sure the boat(s) looks nice, and occasionally being the bad ass that drives the boat. Join the meg discord and ask us any other CG questions you might have.

this is a nice, concise, way to put it.

this is not a common sentiment and definitely isn't something any competent person would say.

It is a known fact that E5 in any branch is the sweet spot. You're not too high that you get shit on when shit gets rough, but you're not too low that you have to do any real work. I've known a couple of people that have managed to retire at E5 because it's just so cushy, but they are outliers, very few people really want to sit there.

>retire at e5
elaborate since you get kicked out after 10 years if you can't shit out e6.

>It is a known fact that E5 in any branch is the sweet spot.

Horse shit, 11B being an E6 is the biggest pile of sham ever. Meanwhile being a TL is a fucking load of work. And E6 needs to manage two guys that have proven themselves competent. An E5 needs to manage three guys that are screaming retards financing Brostangs at 35%.

That's with new HYT. This is back in the day, obviously can't happen these days.

Let me rephrase, if you're a dirty POG, E5 is the sweet spot

>want to join military
>don't want to die for Israel
Wat do?

www.GoCoastGuard.com

not die.

stop believing Jow Forums memes

Say "Geez doc, take me out to dinner first!"

Or say nothing like a real human bean.

Or do one of those high pitched "Yeah!"

The world is yours user, and so is your dong.

damn you're fucking stupid

Warrants are usually former enlisted but they're wizards in their craft. I never see them unless something is broken, so I consider them top tier as far as intellect goes.

Enlisted runs the gamut. I've seen brilliant PFCs and brain dead SFCs, so it's difficult to get a bead on them. Generally, however, I consider most of enlisted above average, since they've been in long enough to know what works and what doesn't, or they haven't been in long enough and accept that they don't know.

Any officer below O-3 is a fucking idiot and I'll fight anyone that says otherwise. Green to Gold coming from national guard has been 66% absolute legends and 33% fucking awful human beings, but I only met 3 of them so far. Because they got a degree in military science and they're in a platoon leader position they assume they know what works best because they were top of their class at ROTC (pronounced "raht-see", also fuck you if you say it like that). Captains are pretty bro tier since they understand that Tops advice usually works way better 4/5 times, but then Majors revert back to LT-tier clownery. O-5 and up are bros, generally

Coast Guard
NOAA Corps
Public Health Corps

The site my recruiter gave me to fill out my NASIS form isn't working. What do I do? I keep getting error 403 (forbidden access).

>Things that aren't on your medical records aren't admissible.
What do you mean?

No, >he didn't see a shrink for it. His family doctor gave him SSRIs as a kid for "anxiety".

I think I've been officially diagnosed bipolar, don't mention it?

Did you bother reading the OP???

Wouldn't the fact he was officially diagnosed (which I assume means it's in his chart) mean anything?

Anyone here been through the Green to Gold program?

this is why I'm asking

Well I'm curious about this too. I have anxiety on my record from a few years ago, but it's on there.

I think he mean the names of exercises, since everyone gives them different names, and not every base probably does the same workout drills. fuckwit.
asking what exercises are used in the military is MEG material, how to do a specific exercise better is Jow Forums QTDDTOT material. lurk moar faggot.

For the army, what’s a good feeder mos into sf shit? I’m thinking of doing 35F with an airborne contract and then asking for SFAS once I’m 21 or getting 35F with a ranger contract.

>lurk moar
>duck walk is Jow Forums material
And I'm the retard.
How about you go tell him what exercises are good for the military, then?
I wouldn't be surprised if you're him fishing for the answer still.

So /MEG/, I'm looking at ways for me to be able to get fit before I have to do my CFA for OTS/TFOT and I found this online
>google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.airuniversity.af.mil/Portals/10/OTS/documents/OTS_Workout_Program.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwiqwvDXpfzjAhVPXKwKHSYEAc4QFjAAegQIARAB&usg=AOvVaw3XwFtGTz0NKKpF7YeWHRAg

Do you guys have any other recommendations on what I could do to improve that routine or have possibly a better workout routine?

Posted at the end of the last thread, no answer.
Question for reserves/national guard - how much time does a tanker get to do tank things, besides sitting in class or doing makework shit? like, training with the tank, doing maintenance on it, PMCS, etc? Not during AIT but once you're at 1 weekend a month/2 weeks a year. Enlisted, as well, no need to tell me an officer goes and does paperwork all the time anyway.

I suppose the same question for an active army member, how much time they get with their tanks.

What % of soldiers join just because they want to kill people?

will i have frens in my unit
i enlisted already and am waiting to ship to ft jackson for bct
can they save a 19-year-old from the path of an incel?

It is all up to genetics. Some people are runners, some are not. I am not a runner. Back, knees, destroyed after ten years in. P2 profile now, after three deployments. Good for nothing now except going to the schoolhouse to beat knowledge into privates.

Yes. I have been in this MOS for over ten years. Up to E5, easy. After that, pain in ass.

you'll most likely make friends
it's easy to make friends in the barracks. worst case just go outside in the smoke pit and bitch about something.

I think im going to get DQ'd from the military boys, and worst of all I think im gonna be ok with that

>wanted to join right out of high school
>went to college instead, fucking hated it
>talk to recruiters off and on to help motivate me to finish
>6 years later Im finally done with 2 degrees
>talking with an Army recruiter for the final year, constant back and forth of me with questions about various MOS's but unwilling to make any moves until college was done (paranoid id accidentally get signed up or something, I know it sounds dumb)
>graduated this year, start talking about enlisting but he asks me if Ive considered OCS
>after some back and forth, I go for it
>its taken me almost 3 months to get up to MEPs, I needed to get some medical waivers and chase down dozens of documents
>every time I did it delayed the process by weeks
>finally get up to MEPs, pass everything but still get DQ'd because of an INCORRECT statement in my medical records
>my file is being reviewed by the surgeon general
>had to go to another doctor and have them write me a note saying the statement was wrong, send it to my recruiters and now im waiting again
>was supposed to go to the OCS board right after, now I have to wait another month

fuck me, I knew it wasnt easy to get in but I didnt think it would be this hard. This guy next to me at MEPs said hes been up a few times and its been almost 3 years before they were finally giving him a go. I dont have 3 years. I have a job I hate and need to leave to start a career if this military dream doesnt start panning out, my family is already on my ass asking "how long do you plan on dragging this out" Worst of all, im starting to wonder if theyre right, that having wanted it for so long and dragging it out over the course of several years, Im looking at it through rose colored glasses and I need to move on. I dont want to, I want this more than anything, but im just so tired and anxious all the time waiting for the shoe to drop

Attached: 1560674143293.jpg (918x597, 78K)

i mean if this final go doesn't pan out or make any progress then back out.
it's a big commitment as well so if you're not 100% on it then it may be a miserable set of years
however you will no shit learn a lot as an officer and it has a good standard of living and looks good for the rest of your life, so it has perks.
at least you didnt do all this nonsense to enlist, so you have some self worth.

Combat Documentation / Production Specialist (25V)

I was a really good student in drama and recorded all sorts of fights when I was younger. Now that I'm older I operate a camera for my church. How is this job?

i dont really feel like reading the rest of your post. I stopped at the third line. so whatever. you win I guess.

Sup fuckers, lumberjack build here who can vault over shit and is generally more Jow Forums than the average american fatty, did practice asvab and scored logistics, can I get a rundown for good Navy jobs? My marine buddy let me eat MREs and he screams at me during workouts and I don't mind it much since it helps push me through. My only issue is that I am kind of a sperg and I'm the guy who will forget what 45 degrees is and make my feet point out 90 degs, but really in high stress situations that can be anybody. On an autism scale I am probly around 5/10. At work I hate standing around not doing shit like 60% of my co-workers, I end my workdays with rashes and sweatstains, torn work pants, I like to volunteer. I look around me everyday and I realize I am surrounded by disgusting civilians and I am one of them. I would like to eat shit and get shitted on in the military, because at least over there people will get yelled at for being lazy shitheads. Also I like anime and monster. I am also lactose intolerant so no coffee for me. The recruiters office is literally down the street from my house.

Also I have posted about this in another thread, I was suggested A&P certs since I have electrical experience. Just thought there may be more people lurking this thread than on the other board. I don't mind the branches but I don't think I would be a good marine.

I can also crack jokes and draw porn.

I can't cook though, unless you like taco pasta MRE soup mixed with salt and bits of bread, heated and served in under 5 minutes.

Also have basic weapons knowledge. I will never sweep a person on the range. My trigger discipline will make a horny woman cry.

One time I mickey moused my car with a leather belt, a rag, and a coat hanger, it got me home safe but had to make actual repairs with actual parts.

Did some research, I can become a Sea Bee, been working construction since I was around 14 years old. How's that like? You guys are probably asleep right now so hopefully the threads still up in the morning.

Not a bad deal dude. You get to chill with the boys, build shit and shoot guns. I didn't have the score for it and instead got IS. You also have a lot of opportunities for cool shit last I heard.

Cool, sounds like the average work day in construction minus the guns. What's IS?

Intelligence Specialist. Intel shit.

Hmmm, that doesn't sound bad either. How is that like?

It's a long story. Have a clean background and you will have 5 specialties to work in. It's a lot of analyzing shit and providing the right info.

Basically your job will most likely be analysis of intelligence the crypto guys will give you, there's a lot of opportunities to do high level shit like working with seal teams and flying all over the country in support of them. Hopefully someone with actual experience in the rate can help you.

Do you have to have a phone in the military?

Thanks for the info mate.

Anyone else comfy in the Air Force? I'm doing cyber stuff. I do it anyways for a living, might as well do it for the mil. Pic Related.

I'm so autistic that I'm literally counting down the days I ship out and can get access to mil net so I can blast the fuck out of it with some 0 days I have. It's going to be fun as hell. I have a SCEP forgery worm that just ass rapes Windows nets, backdoors crypto generators (192 bit ECC key embed on RSA). All kinds of sp00ky shit. I hope I get the privilege of being able to brick a Lightning II or Global Hawk. I'd honestly take a crack hacking it for free, they don't even need to pay me, just the chance to be able to reverse some of the USAF shit would be fucking ace

Attached: free_credit_cardz_for_k.png (1262x693, 1.28M)

this is the biggest cringepost we've had in awhile.
you'll fit right in with the air force.
just as bad as those sexy female programmers on social media

>you'll fit right in with the air force.
Fantastic

Be a SEAL. Look into that SEAL contract. How's your endurance?

are 2 year contracts hard to come by?
