Been shooting more with my LPVO and it was exactly how I expected it to be. It's great for distance shooting and fucking fails miserably at everything else compared to an ACOG or even a heavy Elcan. I'm aware mine isn't even barely a "middle of the road" quality example, but taking that into account it still doesn't change the inherannt flaws with that type of optic, namely the weight, footprint, and difficulty getting a good sight picture from more awkward shooting positions. I don't regret buying mine because it's not my only AR and I wanted that rifle to be used for something specific, but I still haven't found anything as comfy and an all-around good setup as a basic bitch M4 with an ACOG

Both gen 2 and gen 3 are great products. Gen 2s are a few bucks cheaper but that adds up when you start buying in bulk. Both are completely fine and I use them both.
